I'm not as into shooters as much as other people that really follow them, but I do seem to enjoy all of the Treasure games I try. I got into Ikaruga for quite a while. Something about it just clicked for me and started me off on my quest to get some more of the good shooters out there.

Have any more suggestions for a relative noob in the genre?
The Saturn version is an import only. Working Designs brought the PS version here along with some uneeded gameplay changes. I played this version first, and I can definately say the original is the way to go. It is worth every penny paid.
The US PS version is still pretty fun, but it frustrates me to death.

Anyway, I'm a noob with shooters too. Silhouette Mirage is my first (real) trip into the world of this genre, aside from some other games here and there that I cannot remember.
If I had to suggest anything, I would go with DonPachi and DoDonPachi. I have not played either of them, but they are supposed to be big time fun like Radiant Silvergun.
    In Heaven, everything is fine.

    Goodwill find:
    Snes $12
    Monopoly 50 cents
    Family Feud 50 cents
    Wheel of Fortune 50 cents
    Killer Instinct 50 cents
Then I whipped out the 20% off coupon for the Snes and she applied it to everything Not a bad find but I already have a Snes 2 so theres not much need for this one or the game show games.

I'd wait on that. There is no mention of the price, unless I missed it of course. I wonder how much was paid for the setup.

Went to Play N Trade today and the store was having an "up to 75%" of clearance on "new" current generation games. So I took up No More Heroes for the Wii and paid $9.99 for it, which is an excellent price.

Now when I took it up there the dude was like... Wow man $9.99 for a new game - thats awesome. Since the definition of new has recently changed here's a decription of a new video game... an open copy of a game with stickers and sticker residue all over the case, and a few light scratches on the disc. Why call it new? Why not just skip the bullshit and say used? Still a good price even for a used copy though.

    I'm just saying... that's all.

Probably not the best deal, but I needed a joystick for one that was missing a controller, and never hurts to have an extra. Plus I needed a bunch of the games and getting instructions and overlays in the wild is rare.

I paid $150, I didn't try and talk the guy down. I think I could have gotten it for $40 cheaper if I wanted, but he I thought he could use the money, and he brought it to me. I sent him an email and told him there were more instruction books than games, and he said he would look to find the rest of the games for me.

I JUST FOUND A COMPLETE COPY OF BANGAI-O FOR THE DC AT SALVATION ARMY!!!

    It was $2.99!
There was also a copy of Sonic Adventure 2 which I got for my little brother. Jet Set Radio was there too, but I skipped it.

    Got another game this week:

Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2

Also, today I went to Value Village and found a cute Sly Cooper kids novel.

It's uploaded to my Room of Doom album. Here's the link if anyone wants to see it:
