    Hori Fighting Stick 3

EDIT: Their own page says it won't work with 'Playstation 2 software' but I tested it with Arcana Heart on a 20GB PS3 and it worked fine.

Thats outdated information is why, Sony released a firmware update that resolved that issue.

I'd say the X-Arcade is the best solution for a nice PS2/PS3 stick.

Hori's Real Arcade Pro 3 is a very good stick for PlayStation 3. X-Arcade not as much...

    Best stick for the PS3

    Virtua Stick High Grade

It features all Sanwa stock with quick disconnects for ease of modification.

There was a firmware upgrade last year that allowed backwards compatibility for the arcade sticks to work with PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games.

I have that one too. It's a beautiful stick. I got it from Play Asia in April 2007. The shipping was almost as much as the stick itself (nothing new for imported sticks). I also have the cheap Hori that Gamestop/Amazon sold about a year ago. The Hori Real Arcade Pro (PS2) works on the PS3 (via a controller adapter) as well.

There are issues with the VSHG with certain games.

Check my site for reviews on both the Hori Real Arcade PRO 3 and Virtua Stick High Grade.

Also an overview/listing of other arcade sticks available for the PS3:

There are no PS3 sticks that have an octagonal restrictor plate. If your stick has a Sanwa stick on it, you can easily put in an octagonal gate though.
