Just like it says, does the Xbox 360 arcade bundle have an HDMI port? Or is this only on the Pro and Elite models?

I've got an arcade at home that I'm waiting to sell and it has an HDMI port. I'm not 100% that all models now have them, but I'm pretty sure they do.

Anything made in the last few months, for sure. I bought an arcade in September that had HDMI.

Yeah, I bought a Pro in August that has the HDMI port too. Then the price dropped $50 two weeks later. D'oh!

Would there be any drawback to buying an arcade model and switching the harddrive from my old Non-HDMI pro to it? My wireless controllers would still work, right? That way I could give my pro and everything else from the Arcade set to my brother, who doesn't have a TV that accepts HDMI and wouldn't care about Live.

All you'd need to do is re-sync the controllers to the HDMI system and you're good to go. The system doesn't care if theres an HD there or not unless its trying to load/save something off of it. Plug your HD into it and *poof* thats now the 'pro' model.

All Arcade models released from this summer(maybe earlier) to present have an HDMI port and all future versions of all 3 versions of 360 sku's will continue to have this port. The older models of the Arcade, Core and Pro did not have an HDMI port.

This is a good topic for me because I just ran into a 120 gb hard drive on sale at Target for $125. But another forum member saw one at his Target for $89.00(yes, the 120 gb). So if you can find one of these sales I'd definitely recommend getting an Arcade for a complete 360 package.

Before anyone gets too smitten with the 360 Arcade, it should be pointed out that it's less than just a "Pro without a hard drive". It's also missing component cables, headset and ethernet cable that the pro and elite models have. Those things add up to well more than $100.

True, but in this situation, he's just looking at giving his younger brother a system to play on when the tv doesn't have HDMI-Support and isn't going to have XBLA. He was more worried about what it would take to get his system back up to snuff, rather than stiffing his younger brother who'd be playing on composite cables as it is, saving stuff on the included memory card in the Arcade bundle.

If you've got DLC on your hard drive isn't it assigned to the console it was downloaded on? So if you took your HDD to another system it would make you sign on to Live to play your DLC, correct? Or did I misinterpret something along the confusing Live road?

Also, the box for the Arcade indicates that it isn't BC.

You can log into xbox.com to reassign your Arcade and DLC content once every 12 months.

The arcade system isn't BC only because it doesn't have a hard drive. Adding a hard drive to it enables BC.

I picked up an Arcade a few months ago and slapped a 120GB HD on it (a friend gave it to me). It works just fine, there's no difference between it and an Elite/Pro other than the color (I actually like the all white front without the chrome).

There was a time when that would have equaled $50 US. But your money has finally caught up to ours. Congrats
