I don't think the DS really has the resolution for something like Syberia. There certainly weren't many favorable comments for Myst.

Obviously you need a flash cart to run the emulator but the rest is free assuming you already have the game disks.

    On mine i have
    Sam & max
    Day of the tentacle
Indiana jones & the last crusade
Indiana jones & the fate of atlantis
    Simon the sorcerer 1 & 2
    Monkey island 1 & 2
    Beneath a steel sky
    Maniac mansion

enough adventuring for any journey, i love having them with me for nostalgic fun. Who would have thought years ago when they all first came out that we would eventually be able to have them all in one place on a portable small enough to slip in your pocket.

I'm starting to suspect that I may need a flash cart.

It occurs to me that someone could perhaps make a DS port of GemRB. (Apparently they got it working on a Nokia.)

The limited technical specs of old DOS games fit in well with the specs of the DS, and the touchscreen is an OK substitute for a mouse (although still not as good as a mouse in terms of "pointing-and-clicking"). Besides, many of those games are real gems that hearken back to an era when dev houses were smaller affairs, and people could experiment more easily and realize their creative vision with less myopic control from the bean-counters.

Of course, the lack of professional controls in place to restrict "vision" eventually lead to a PC gaming scene where you could never buy a game upon release because of the large number of bugs, but on the whole, it seems like there were a lot more original concepts coming out.

Nowadays the same reasons make the scene for Flash games pretty interesting. It would be cool to see some more of those come out for the DS in some form or another just like N+ did.

I made my PC-gamer freinds insane when I joked about starcraft coming to the DS. turns out they actually were working on it at some point. I regularly think of PC games and tell this one guy that they are coming to the DS. he's caught on by now, but I nearly convinced him that HL2 EP1 was coming. oh man that was good.

Oh yeah, is MP:hunters not exactly like unreal tournament in multiplayer?
