Default best DDR dance pad for xbox 360?

My wife just got DDR Universe 3 for the 360. It came with the plain old thin dance pad. I would like to get her a new, nicer one for Christmas.

    Any suggestions?

That's the thing about dance pads for the 360....there really isn't any better ones available. There's a few 3rd party ones (Mad Catz and one other I think) but they are all pretty much the same. I'm not familiar with the official Konami pad but i've seen the Mad Catz pad up close and it looks like it might be a little bit sturdier. It's still a soft pad though.

If you're REALLY hardcore, you can always buy a XFPS controller adapter for your 360 and use some of the nicer PS2 pads like a Cobalt Flux or Ignition, but those cost about $80 and I think you still need a wired 360 controller to connect it.

The pad situation for the 360 really sucks though. I just wish MS would allow Red Octane or someone else to make a nice pad for it. They keep releasing these DDR Universe games but there's nothing decent to play them with.

damn, that's what I was afraid of.

what's the best way to improve a crappy dance pad? does the gluing it to a piece of wood trick really work?

Worked for me when I had a crappy pad. Then I bought a Red Octane pad and started playing Stepmania.
