Default Problems Backing Up Sega Cd And Saturn Games

Recently bestbuy had a sale on verbatim cds and i bought about 150 for $20. I don't own many sega cd and saturn games but i felt i could back up some of them since they have scratches and i don't want to mess them up any more than i have already.

So here's the problem: I have an iso and 26 or so mp3s and ive been told to make a cue file to burn them together. I've done that with a program called sega cue maker but every time i burn a backup i end up with coasters.

Here's the error i get on alcohol 120%.

I've tried converting the mp3s to wave, which ive heard is pointless anyway since they burn to redbook audio, and that didn't do anything either. Imageburn and nero show no errors but produce unplayable discs on both systems.

Any clue what i might be doing wrong? I've looked at every guide i can and they all say to do the same thing but all i burn are discs that don't boot.

PS: boot method for cd is non existant, boot method for saturn is the model 1 swap trick. Japanese games have been patched with a region patcher to run on english systems.

Just curious, what speed are you burning them at?

Personally, I swear by CDRWIN. It's extremely simple but extremely reliable as well. The .bin/.cue format has never failed me while all others have at one time or another.

Post whats in the CUE file. Sounds like line 4 is not a supported file format.

Actually, you could just make a copy of your legit games, that'll work.

If you're backing up games you already have, just make a duplicate of the original disc. ISO/WAV backups you find online will usually have audio sync problems and in the case of some games, such as Lunar The Silver Star, they won't load if the audio tracks aren't exactly the right length. BIN/CUE backups, while larger, won't have said problems. Either way, if you're backing up stuff you have, just make a simple 4x copy.

I would but most i own are imports and if they aren't separated into mp3 and iso i can't patch the iso with the region patcher to get them running without a chip.

Right now ive downloaded nero 7, so far 3 games in a row have burned and played fine. still trying to figure out how to get the few sega cd games i want re-writen to boot.

PS: i think it may have been the burn speed, or a mix of that and alcohol 120%
I wasn't able to pick X4 like i wanted to on alcohol 120%

    I use Fireburner.

It's a great little program in these types of situations.
