Default PS2 Network Adapters For $1,000?? WTF??

Just click on the link: http://search-completed.ebay.com/net...nsifQQsbrsrtZd

I went into completed items to see what I should price my newly aquired adapter at. A lot of 10 used network adapters went for $500 twice this month and some are going for $1,000 a lot? Time to sell our adapters guys. It's a good thing I just bought one today

EDIT: both prices are for lots of 10 and 20 respectively, not single adapters. But still......

Damn, I had a network adapter just chilling and threw it away since I had no idea it'd be worth anything. I still have one for my personal PS2 collection though, but I won't sell it.

I wonder why these are going for so much, doesn't make any sense when you could buy a new ps2 with a built in adapter for $120 or so right? Are people buying these so they can use the HDD?

Huh, I barely even used this thing to play games, didn't know it could be used as an HDD.

Makes sense why it would drive up cost, though.

People buy it so they plug in the HDD and install games on it.

Yea but a single sells for a ton. Watch ebay and my name I am goign to buy the last 10-15 I saw at Gamestop two days ago and pay for Christmas that way. It is the only time in my life I will be able to get something at gamestop for less than the internet and still get a few bucks off of Ebay. I mean really why are they going for so much when they can be had at any gamestop for $15 plus tax? And BTW we know they are for more than one it was in the first post silly

I did a ebay search for "PS2 Network Adapters" I checked Completed listings here is what I found.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Network-Ada...QQcmdZViewItem

1 Adapter went for $39.10 in bidding
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Playstation...QQcmdZViewItem

1 Adapter went for $40.00 Buy it Now
    http://cgi.ebay.com/playstation-2-ne...ayphotohosting

1 Adapter went for $41.99 bidding
    http://cgi.ebay.com/PS2-NETWORK-ADAP...QQcmdZViewItem

1 Adaptor went for $38.99 Buy it Now
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Playstation...QQcmdZViewItem

    LOTS

Lot of 6 Adapters went for $240.00 bidding
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Lost-of-6-PS2-Ne...QQcmdZViewItem

Lot of 8 Adapters went for $365.00 bidding
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-of-8-Playsta...QQcmdZViewItem

Lot of 9 Adapters went for $450.00 Buy it Now

Lot of 5 Adapters went for $249.99 Buy it Now
    http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-of-5-PS2-Bro...QQcmdZViewItem

As you can see 1 Adapter sells for about $40.00 most of the time. Their are some that sell for $20.00-$30.00 rang but thats people with low feedback and get sniped. If you have good feedback you can sell one for $40.00 BIN.

    hope that helped .

I've made a shit ton of money off these in the past 3 months and I just sold a lot of 10 at BIN for 500. They sold in a few hours. There is a very high demand for these for some reason.

Combine the adapter with a harddisk and that new memorycard exploit and you can play all the games you want (either from HDD or from burned DVDs) without modding your PS2.
