    Default December 2008 Finds

It's 2:50 am and I just found my common sense....well, some of it anyway. I just picked up:

    Burnout Paradise(360)
    Conan(360)
    Devil May Cry 3(PS2)
    Dead or Alive movie
    Beowulf movie
    Little Wayne cd
    Dead Rising(360)

These were my black friday finds but since they were ordered online they haven't arrived yet. I will add picks and prices as soon as they get here.

Saturn games from a local Kijiji ad:

    Galactic Attack
    Fifa 96
    Fighting Vipers
    Gungriffon
    Dark Legend
    Big Hurt Baseball
    Battle Monsters
    Panzer Dragoon II Zwei
    NHL All Star Hockey
    MYST
    Virtua Racing
    Skeleton Warriors
    Shanghai Triple Threat
    Sega Rally Championship
X Revolution or Revolution X - The areosmith game
    Nights Into Dreams
    Virtual On Cyber Troopers
    Command and Conquer
    Croc - loose
Romance of the 3 Kingdoms 4 Wall of Fire - loose
Warcraft 2 Dark Saga - loose

Also, I'm guessing, an import CD and a cartridge for the Saturn with Japanese writing on it. If you can identify these let me know, I'm curious.

The whole thing was $10. I emailed the guy within 15 minutes of him posting and got an email back half an hour later stating that if I wanted them I'd have to come right away since he'd been flooded with emails. Luckily, I was the first

After posting about finding a R.O.B. cheap at my local thrift store that was missing it's gyros in the November Finds thread, I found one of the gyros there today for .49. Now, only one more to go ^^.

I found one of those DVD disks for PS2 that came with the remote at Value Village for 50 cents. Not sure exactly what it does, and I only have a slim PS2, but for 50 cents what the hell.

A model 2 NES always makes for a nice first-day-of-the-month find! A Dogbone and power pad don't hurt, either!

Add in 67 games, and with an $80 price tag for all of it, and I'm pretty happy.

Highlights for me/my collection include North & South, Mig 29 (mint), Tom & Jerry, Super Team Games, Gray Zelda (my first, strangely), and probably more. Also a bunch of the usual, but nice suspects: SMB 2, SMB3 (x2), both Punchout versions, Contra, Castlevania, etc, etc.

Not really a find, but I picked up Wii Okami, new, off Amazon last Friday for $15 shipped.

That cartridge is the 1 MB RAM cartridge that came with some of the Saturn import games made by SNK. It or an equivalent cartridge (like the Action Replay) is required for your mystery game there, which is the Saturn port of Samurai Shodown 3 (or Samurai Spirits 3, whichever you prefer).

GameStop is moving out all GB and GB Color games for 75% off... add that to my 10% off GameStop card and that makes SUPER cheap games!

Everything in the pic added up to just under $500... after the discounts? $74

One or two R5's, some R4's... mostly R1's and R2's.

    Nice score. ^_^
The only game I found worth buying was a copy of dragon warrior monsters, but I'm gonna go look at more GS.

Couple of finds at Goodwill last night:

Dance Performance 2000 (PSX)- complete, in box, dance pad controller for regular PlayStation although I would imagine it would work with some DDR games for PS2 - $2.99

Donkey Kong Country (GBC)- complete also. Box in excellent shape. $3.99

    From a local seller -

Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life (GameCube) - $5

Spotted an unusual Donkey Kong box in my local thrift today, and it turned out to be a minty and complete Donkey Kong Game & Watch. The box literally looks like new, I still can't believe nobody else had snatched it up. The game had no batteries, so I haven't verified that it works, but the system appears to be in excellent condition as well. I'll upload pics when I get a chance.

Also found a Mario Kart DD (GCN) complete for $10 and Gran Turismo 2 complete for $1.

EDIT - Forgot to mention the Game and Watch was $10. Now with pictures.

I was looking through the local thrifts trying to find something for a christmas party, when I spotted something familiar sticking out of a box. I pulled it out and found myself holding an giant sized Shadow the Hedgehog doll. The reason why it looked familiar is because I already own a regular sized version of this plush. Anyway, it was three bucks so I bought him.

In the next thrift I went to I found SUIKODEN II mixed in with the music cds. But here's the crappy part: somebody stole the @$%&* game disc!!! The cashier let me have the case and manual for free, but still, I'm ticked off that someone would rip off a thrift store!
