Default Is Glovepie still the best option to use the Wiimote on the PC?

Well, since Nintendo refuses to release my favorite NES classic light gun games on the virtual console then I have no choice but to use an NES emulator with a Wiimote to play my light gun games. Last time I tried this (several months ago) I could not get Glovepie to work right. Are there any other new programs (or decent PC LCD light guns) that I can try. Don't get me wrong, Glovepie is a nice program but I can't get it to work correctly. I also know that a CRT would solve all my problems but that isn't an option for me Any help would be appreciated.

How is a CRT not an option for you?

    Is it lack of space/funds?

Mostly space. If I can find a small footprint CRT(depth wise) with no smaller than a 32'' screen then I guess I could hook my NES to that. Anybody know of any TV's like this?
