Default Strike Force Hydra for GBA: Anyone else seen this?

I found a GBA game yesterday called Strike Force Hydra. It's published by AIA Games, the makers of Illbleed for the DC. It was used (but complete), and it cost me $20. I bought it simply due to the fact that I have never seen it before.

It appears to be a top-down shooter of some sort, using "CGI Rendered" hovercraft-like vehicles. Looks intriguing, but I haven't had the chance to try it out. I've checked around the web and haven't seen anything on this game outside of some cheat codes. Not even the Gamestop/EB websites list it. Nothing on Ebay, either. My Gamestop does list the game in the computer, selling used for a meager $7.99.

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Since I saw the Tactics Ogre rarity post, I thought I'd scrounge up this old beast.

I located a picture of the box:

I've also seen other AIA GBA games:

IK+: The Ultimate Martial Arts Simulation (clicky)
    Dokapon

very strange how my search for "Strike Force Hydra" DID NOT turn up this ancient relic of a post before I posted this review of the game... and so my new thread gets the lock...

They should of at least merged it (or left it open), because really this topic has no information about the actual game play.

But honestly, I played the game the other day and I didn't care for it at all.

I have the PSone version of this game (PAL game, no USA release) and I imagine they are very, very similar.

It looked like it was awfully cool but I was trying to play it on a Dreamcast using Bleemcast and the frame rate was terrible. A lot of PSone games play really shitty on Bleemcast and I don't have a modded PSone.

    Very similar covers...

I think the GBA version is a direct port of the PS1 version.

    Yep, it's a direct port.

And since the other thread got locked, I'm repeating this:

Last year, I found this for $3.99 at an EB. Turned out it was a new copy they couldn't sell as new any longer for whatever reason, so it was a nice surprise when the clerk told me that as he went to get the box and instructions.

It's definitely worth looking at, and I'd say it's at least scarce - counting the copy I got, I don't think I've seen more than four, maybe five copies in the wild.
