Post 3DO graphics issue blue lines artifacting on screen

Hey guys. I just got an early FZ1 3DO and im having a problem with it and was wondering if anybodys got any ideas. i tried searching the forums but didnt find anything and since i really couldnt search that well since 3DO does not meet the four letter words for search.. im gonna pose the question so here it goes..

When i turn on the 3DO the initial screen the insert disk screen has this Blue static looking lines artifacting in the black after awhile it seems like its not as worse but its still there. these lines show up for RCA as well as RF connections. ive tried my buddies 3DO on the same tv and his doesnt do this. during gameplay it is fine you dont see it.. anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks
