The latest in Square-Enix's library to get the 3-D treatment. I loved this game on Game Boy, and here we go again on DS! Awesome. Check some pics out here:

Yeah, I liked this game as a kid too, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't get released over here.
Eat the meat!
My first portable FF game, and one I played through many many times. Sweet!
Is this the one where you go inside the girl's body to fight a virus or something at some point in the game? I really liked this one. It had some impressive visuals for the gameboy (the enemeies sort of "scaling" up when fight started, etc.) Cool!
I remember getting pretty far into this one and then my game got erased, this happened twice and I just gave up after that. I actually might pick this one up if it's released here, it was one of the first RPGs I ever got into and is one of my favorite Gameboy titles.
Two things:
1) I'm not expecting them to release this in North America
2) If they do, I hope they remove the "use your weapons so many times and they break" element of the game. I like the GB original except for that.
Yeah, I'd say a US release is up in the air, especially considering that the last two SaGa games that were released here in the states, Unlimited Saga and Romancing SaGa, did so poorly.
I personally would've loved to see a remake of the first FFL, but since the Japanese got a Wonderswan Color and mobile phone version of it several years back I don't see that game ever popping back up here in the states.
Yep, that's why I gave up on those games originally. I hated that mechanic.
But why SaGa 2? It was so generic. All those games were really. I wish they'd start making these and the FF remakes for either the GBA or one of the consoles. I hate staring at that tiny little screen for hours, it makes my eyes go all buggy.

All Your Prototypes Are Belong To Us!
It'd be cool if they release this here, since I never got arond to playing the original, and I doubt I'd ever bother now with so many other games to play. Kind of an odd choice for a remake though, IMO.
I just started this game on GB and now we are getting a remake?

"will You Eat The Robot Meat?"
I'm sure we'll see it here, all they need to do is slap "Final Fantasy" on the cover and it'll sell.
Since they released Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song and SaGa Unlimited in the US, surely this release wouldn't be unlikely.
It wouldn't be the same game without that. Certainly, it would be a heckuva lot easier, and part of its novelty is that it's so darn difficult.
Three words: Game Boy Player.I wish they'd start making these and the FF remakes for either the GBA or one of the consoles. I hate staring at that tiny little screen for hours, it makes my eyes go all buggy.

One of my favorite game of all time ! Oh yeah
i just got Final fanatsy Legend II This summer For The Original GB.
I Cant wait for the DS Remake
SaGa 2 is the best of the original titles. The storyline is pretty good and it fixed alot of problems in the original title.
The third title is decent, but it plays too straightforward and doesn't play like a SaGa game. Also no customization to the third title.
There is one thing that I don't like much about the remake already. The graphics don't keep the same appearance as the GB titles at all. Graphically it looks like an entirely different game. I'll pick it up since I love SaGa 2, but still.
This also brings the question up. Why are the only good games the DS has been receiving lately are ports or remakes? The most recent good original title I've seen is Space Invaders Extreme, which I picked up the superior PSP version due to the much better music and interface.
I was cleaning up and re-discovered this old proto.
It even has a different title screen. I'm going to have to buy the remake and compare it to this and the released version. Note that the photos didn't show up well in a gameboy so I used the SNES supergameboy.
Not for DS games. I'm pretty sure he was hoping that the DS remakes would be made for the GBA or consoles instead so he could play them on a big screen instead of on the DS screens.
I think I have a copy of the first FFL game, I should give that a try at some point. I haven't got around to playing it yet. I'm not sure if I have any of the other FFL games, I've lost track of what I have.
