    Default Simpsons' unofficial NES sequel

Hi! I'm new here - hope to make new friends!

My first post is about a NES modification called "The Simpsons IV: Return of the Space Mutants" for Nintendo Entertainment System. Original game is THQ's "Swamp Thing" and I created it back in 2001. Enjoy!

Swamp Thing was also produced by Imagineering Inc. So trust me: You'll feel like playing a bad designed, difficult official Simpsons title. The magic thing about the hack is that you'll remember ALL the annoying stuff from Space Mutants, Bart x The World.. Is all there. The difference is that Bart looks a little better now!

Looks cool! But, then again, since I actually LIKE the NES Simpsons games, that's not a worthy opinion...

    Thanks!
And don't get me wrong.. I know those games are bad but I love them too.
I still know every single corner of the old Bart Simpson titles, specially Bart vs. Space Mutants!

Because it didn't have The Simpsons on it.

I kinda liked Space Mutants, it's a pretty unique game. But I liked "World" a lot more.

I didn't like that Bart vs The World seemed to be more or less just a bunch of minigames. I was never able to beat the Great Wall level as a kid... Wonder if I could now?

It did lead to Virtual Bart, though... Which some people love and some people hate. I'd say more people hated.

I hope you can it now. That's the second level of the game.

Haha I haven't played it since I was about ten.

The control scheme seemed broken to me, at the time.

I dunno, it probably had more to do with me being ten.

Actually, it had to do with the fact that the guy who programmed the controls was ten. Still, I do like the games...

Nice work on that game! I didn't think any of the Simpsons games were very good back then, and that was thanks to the exclusive deal with Acclaim. What a shame. The Simpsons were the biggest thing back then, and game after game was bad.

PS: I'd love to see Konami's Simpsons Arcade ported to a console one of these days! The best Simpsons game back then, maybe ever, and only got ported to DOS and Commodore 64.

Rent? I picked the game as a b-day present.

    Not bad enough?

    I chose it over "StarTropics"!

Apparently a lot of the people who worked on Space Mutants worked on the two Home Alone games, suggesting that those might be worthy of hacking too.

Nice, but it reminds me of a Color Dreams title.
