Neo Geo CD Drive not spinning....
I have a Neo Geo CD system that is not booting any games. It turns on and goes to the "player" screen but the drive never spins to read the game disc. The drive itself is so far forward that is keeping the spindle from spinning the disc. The system is practically new and the game I am trying to play is an original, not a copy. Any ideas on adjustments or anything else to try. I would really love to get this working. Thanks!

Don't quote me on this but I think the Neo Geo CD is notorious for CD problems. I believe that you can buy new assemblies online pretty easily. In any case, the website Neo-Geo.com has ALL your answers. These people are rabid about anything Neo Geo.

Well I opened it up and got to looking at the drive and come to find out that the black disk the CD sits on was pushed down too far and was catching on the drive motor when the lid closed and it moved forward. So I gently pulled it off and reseated it on the tiny silverpost ir was sitting on and that did the trick! A little pot adjustment and it plays perfectly now. Hopefully this will help someone in the future.
