Why are there no Mario games for the PS3 or Xbox360 when they are clearly more superior to the Wii? And why did I get banned from the Nintendo forums when I asked this? (As well as insulting their intelligence and business model...)

Still Around...Still Gamin'...
Duh, just ask most ignorant people that walk into GS. Of COURSE there are Mario games for the 360 and PS3, their 5 year old SAID there are, so there HAVE to be! [/sarcasm]
Seriously, if some nobody came into my house and decided to make baseless "criticism" about how I do business, I'd throw him out too.
Alright, for one thing, the Xbox360 does not "constantly" malfunction. People need to stop using the RROD as an excuse to bash 360. If you get an RROD, you send it back, they give you a new one that is less likely to break, and it doesn't cost you a penny! How terrible! Seriously, the only downside is the you don't get to play Xbox 360 games for the week-or-two it takes to get the new one, and if that's such a problem, then you should probably get outside more or find something else to do.
Second, what does owning a PS3 have to do with owning a high-end PC? I own a high-end PC, but I also own a PS3, because I have friends who own PS3's that don't own Xbox360's or they don't game on PC, and as far as I know, there aren't any PC versions of MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, or the Resistance games (or other upcoming PS3 exclusives).

You have to realize that the Wiimote plays fighters like ass. Ever try playing SSBB while using the Wiimote? It's extremely uncomfortable. The nunchuk/Wiimote is a better option, but it still sucks in comparison to playing it using a Gamecube controller.
Even the Gamecube controller sucks for your average fighter, though. For Smash Bros it's good only because the buttons used. However, most people who never originally had a Gamecube probably won't have a Gamecube controller(and even then we're not talking about SSB.)
So I assume this also means all of the people who work at Midway but have nothing to do with the decision making and are just there trying to put food on their families tables?
I suppose it is all right if they "twist in the dust" when they get laid off, if they haven't already.
If you ask me, Midway would have went under a long time ago if they bent over backwards trying to put every console game onto the PC.
I totally disagree. If you're struggling financially, you have to make decisions, and I personally believe not releasing an MK game on the Wii was the right decision for them.
On the actual *topic,* however, before I'll comment on how ignorant they were for banning you I'd like to know what their rules for posting are. If they've clearly stated in their rules that, for example, flaming the company is strictly not allowed then they were right to ban you.
If you violated none of their rules then shame on them. But shame on you in the first place for making a simple question like "why not Wii" into an anti-360/PS3 rant. The reason you choose a Wii isn't relevant to the discussion at hand. Hell you should've known games like this might not be made for Wii when you made your choice in the first place.

Midway was going to make a Wii version, but Nintendo was going to require that there be a tiger killing bonus stage.
