Hi. I am looking for 2 new cleaning kits that will work on a toploading NES, and also 2 or 3 for cleaning cartridges. Please let me know if you have these.

I always just use a really clean game cart. I make sure the game connectors (on the cart)look brand new, totally clean. I wet the game with rubbing alcohol(using a q-tip), slide it in & out of the top loader 5-6 times. I dry the game off(with a dry q-tip) and repeat. You will see all the dirt on the qtip when you dry the cart. The system is clean when you dry the cart and there isnt any dirt. It works just as good as a cleaning kit imo.
I had a cleaning kit that had a white material on it(instead of copper teeth). The material snagged one of the teeth inside the NES(the 72 pin part) and bent the pins. I switched and use just a regular game cart now.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that one day this week. Both my systems have been in the show case for over 3 years now, and this was the first time that they have been out. Both took some inserting and removing of cartridges to get them playing again.
I may send them off and get 'em modded.
Thanks again.
