Default Who has their names in game credits and which games?

So we all see the credits at the end of the games. Ever wondered if you know any of those names? I know there's a few others here that have worked or still do for a game company. What games are your names in!

    I have my name in a couple of different game's. Here's my list;

    Vampire: Masquerade Redemtion (PC)
    Tenchu 2 (PSX)
    Orphen: Scion of Sorcerey (PS2)
    Lion King: Simba's Adventures (PSX)
    Sky Odessey (PS2)
Civilization: Call to Power 2 (PC)

I'm under the tester section in the credits for all of those.

I'm in the credits for the Good Deal Games Sega CD titles "Bug Blaster" and "Star Strike" (just by virtue of having done some stuff for GDG in the past that was unrelated to those games), and I also did the artwork for the CGE limited edition release of Haunted House II 3D for the 5200. (That artwork was replaced for the general release version, though.)

Now, if you're talking non-homebrews, I'm outta luck there - nobody knows who I am. I did, however, get a "special thanks to" shout-out in the credits of Frank Klepacki's (Command & Conquer, Space & Beyond, Dune 2000, etc.) "Morphscape" CD, which surprised the heck outta me.

Ah, well if homebrews count then I'm listed in the 5200 Koffi game, I'm pretty sure.

Sky Odyssey is a GREAT game. Definitely one of the all-time PS2 sleepers, along with The Adventures of Cookie & Cream.

Do you still work in Activision QA?

I have my name on the title screen and credits of Doomsday Dream Legends 1 and 2. Of course, I made them, but it's a thrill to me just to see my name scroll up the screen.

    Working Designs credits:

    Albert Odyssey
    Alundra
    Elemental Gearbolt
    Gungriffon Blaze
    Lunar: SSSC
    Lunar 2: EBC
    Magic Knight Rayearth
    Silhouette Mirage
    Thunder Force V
    Vanguard Bandits

    Non-WD credits:

    Black Fire
    The Ignition Factor
    Way of the Warrior
Wizardry VI: Bane of the Cosmic Forge

A dubious group of games, to say the least.

Woot!! Someone else remembers Sky Odyssey!!! That was my all time favorite game to test and still one of my favorite PS2 games. Wish they'd do a sequel...

Nope not at Activision QA anymore. It was fun while it lasted though.

Battlecars (SNES) is the only one I know of, though I might be in other Namco games of that era - never bothered to check

I also got my name in Activision Anthology, which was a bit of a surprise...

After that, just a couple of homebrews.

    Default Credits

I write game-related materials for a living and have been listed in the onscreen and printed credits for all of them, except one yet-to-be published game that references has a certain terrorist. I figured I might as well remain anonymous for that one.

It's amazing how touchy a subject game credits can be, especially for certain high-profile titles. These days, I'm seeing pages and pages of names for some games that include relatives of excutives (with some bogus title). And there's always someone complaining about being left out.

I personally think that credits are good because people should know just how many people it takes to develop, publish and market a game these days. Also, I think the talented producers and designers should be given more credit, i.e. "Conceived and designed by Joe Blow" like back in the Activision 2600 days.

Relatives of executives getting bogus credits? The game industry really HAS turned into Hollywood.

I absolutely agree with giving prominent, on-the-box credit to the lead designers and programmers, which are roughly equivalent to a writer and director. Hell, I'd settle for prominent development-team credit, as game publishers are far too willing to take credit for what developers do. (Activision launching the "O2" brand based on the success of Neversoft's Tony Hawk series, Rockstar renaming DMA Design to "Rockstar North," et cetera.) Then again, the most talented designers of the modern era (Kojima, Miyamoto) already get plenty of props, so perhaps the problem isn't as bad as it initially seems.

    Default Me

I'm in the credits to almost every game I ever beat. Right at the end, I'm usually the last one they thank, only not by name. Usually they call me "the player," or "you," or "whatever name I typed in as my character name."

    Umm...yeah.

Well I had my credits in one of those old ZZT games which I had made. I was also working on an RPG with RPG Maker 95 on PC, and I had my name in credits there too. As for professionally made games, none at all.
