I'm pretty sure the 1902 (and 1902A) were designed for the Commodore 128, not the Amiga 500. With the appropriate cable, you might be able to hook it up to the RGBI (digital) input on the monitor (the one that the 128 used for 80-column mode), but you'd only get 16 colors instead of 4096. There may also be an adapter to hook it up to the analog input to the monitor, but you'd get a lower resolution (and possibly black-and-white?)
Of course, it's been years since I've looked at this stuff, so my info may be out-of-date.
You probably really want a monitor that's more Amiga-friendly.
