Default I finally got a Wii!

along with a 2nd Wiimote & nunchuk, 2 Wii wheels, and the following games:

    Classic British Motor Racing
    Godzilla: Unleashed
    Indianapolis 500 Legends
    Mushroom Men
    NASCAR Kart Racing
    Nights: Journey of Dreams
    Shaun White Snowboarding
    Speed Racer

I also got Wii Fit, so I can play Shaun White Snowboarding with the balance board... so I currently own 10 Wii games, including Wii Sports... AWESOME!

so I got half of the Wii games on my wishlist so far... the rest of them are:

    Blast Works
    Endless Ocean
    Castlevania: Judgement
    Geometry Wars: Galaxies
    Kororinpa: Marble Mania
    Mercury Meltdown Revolution
    Monkey King
    Ninjabread Man
    Ocean Commander
    Soul Calibur Legends

my parents delivered all the Wii stuff when they delivered my new 24" HD LCD monitor to play it on... hopefully the VGA converter box I got will work with it

2 wheels and no Mario Kart??? What's up with that? I do hope you enjoy your new system, congrats!

    Congrats! That's a nice start!

    My top 3:
    Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
    Zelda: Twilight Princess
    Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.

For lesser-known/budget titles, lately I've really enjoyed Dragon Quest Swords - it's like a light gun game only with sword swinging, and some light RPG elements. I also really enjoyed Soul Caliber Legends, though I can understand why some people didn't like it. Godfather: Blackhand Edition has the best motion controls of any Wii game - it's pretty well done and a nice surprise.

I thought Blast Works was complete garbage - be careful with that one.

Congrats on finally getting the best current generation console. Also, good for you for getting Mushroom Men, it's a underated gem. On your wish list you must get Blast Works and Geometry Wars.

I thought about getting Mario Kart with a wheel, so I'd have 2 wheels, but that would've been another $50 instead of only $15... and I only got as many games as I did cause most of them were only $20 apiece, and the few that were more than that were all on sale... otherwise I wouldn't have gotten Wii Fit as part of my starter pack... I still can't believe I even got as much stuff as I did... that's an awful lot of expensive stuff to get all at one time, and it wasn't even part of my Christmas or my birthday... but they bought new 32" LCD HD TV's for themselves and my sister, and since I only wanted a new HD monitor that cost half as much as what one of those new TV's would've cost, they got me all the Wii stuff I wanted, to make up for the difference in cost

I won't be able to check out all my new stuff for a few more weeks though... I'm in Lake Charles, LA for Mardi Gras now, and I won't be returning home until St. Patrick's Day... so all that stuff is just sitting in my apartment, waiting for me to get back home and enjoy it... but it will be one hell of a homecoming! and I may be able to get the rest of the games on my wishlist by the time I get back, or soon after... I have some financial benefits on the way soon, so I won't have to wait for all those other games very long... then I can just keep up with whatever new releases I want as they come out, as I've been doing with PC games... it's alot nicer when you don't have to do that while you're trying to catch up on old releases at the same time as well

Congrats. I'm kind of surprised that Excite Truck isn't on your want list, though.

    Wait a sec.

Didn't you write to Midway a few weeks ago demanding they release Mortal Kombat vs DC for a console (the Wii) that you didn't even own at the time.

    Classic stuff

why is that? besides the fact that it's a racing game... any other reason?

well my parents got a Wii for themselves long before they got one for me, so I started buying games for it to play when I visit them... and this wouldn't be the first time that I bought games for a system I didn't own yet... I started buying Genesis games before I actually owned one too... as I've done with most of the systems I collect for... I prefer having several games to play when I get a new console, instead of just having whatever the pack-in is

and I didn't demand that Midway do anything... I asked them why they didn't make MK vs DC for the Wii or the PC... but rather than answer my question, they just gave me that much more reason not to buy their games anymore... and to wonder why I ever bought any of their games... so everyone here can think what they want of me... I'm still not gonna buy an XBOX360 or a PS3 just so I can play MK vs DC or some other game exclusive to those systems

edited my wishlist... I decided I wanna get Ninjabread Man and save Super Monkey Ball for later, when I plan to stock up on all the Sega games so far... so my next round of purchases after I complete my current wishlist will be:

    Alien Syndrome
    Sonic and the Black Knight
    Sonic and the Secret Rings
    Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
    Sonic Unleashed
    Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz

then I'll see about grabbing up all the Nintendo franchise games, and after that I'll work on getting whatever else I decide I want... prolly some more racing games, a few flying games, and some stuff from various other genres

I guess I'll have to check it out then

indeed, especially in regards to racing games... it seems that most of the racers on the Wii are budget titles of poor quality, but I do enjoy collecting cheap racing games for the PC, so I'll prolly go for most of them on the Wii as well... I have noticed quite a few that I don't think I'll ever bother wasting my money on though, just so I can say I own all the racers on the Wii... it was a nice goal until I realized just how many crappy racers are on the Wii!

I know... it's hard for me to believe too... I guess they feel compelled to help stimulate the economy buy buying a shitload of expensive electronics for us... or they just want to see us enjoying some of our inheritance while they're still around to see us enjoy it... either way, I'm not complaining

I'm visiting my parents again, and they got me the following games:

    Ferrari Challenge
    Monkey King
    Ocean Commander
    WWII Aces

so I own a total of 14 Wii games now... about half of what I want

    Nice bro, I feel ya.

The Wii has some games I really want like Mario Kart and a few shooters, cause a friend of mine has one and the controls are interesting for sure, Mario Kart is heavenly with Nunchuk and Remote configuration.

Only reason I don't own a Wii yet is cause the hardware itself is lacking imo and a couple of key franchises I was looking forward to didn't quite hit the mark. I do like it plays Gamecube games though, that's a plus.

The system itself is worth owning for Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros. alone, unfortunately I haven't justified paying full price for one yet myself as i'm enjoy the PS3 quite well.
