    Default Gameboy advance SP

I have an old gameboy color but can't stand the fact that its not backlit. So I was thinking of picking up a used Gameboy advance SP because it seems they are backlit correct? What might I expect to pay for one of these units, ballpark?
    Thanks

$40 is the most you should pay. That's the 'going rate' around here on CL. Should be able to pick one up for 20, maybe with some games, if you wait for a deal to come along.

Also, the AGS-101 is the newer backlit version, while the AGS-001(?) is the original frontlit one. Offhand I know that the metallic light pink/blue ones are 101s, as is the graphite. There were a ton of special editions and such, so not sure about any of those (except the NES one is frontlit; I have that one).

On the craigslist here, you can easily get one for $20-30.

Besides the model number, you can tell which one is the backlit (better) in two ways:
    - if it has the box, the box will say "new brighter screen", or
    - if there is no box, if you press the light button, the light will cycle between two different brightness levels. With a front lit version, it will turn the light on or off.

I was lucky, I got mine for 3.99 from a thrift store that couldnt test it due to lack of power cord. Unfortunately its the frontlit version but, for 3.99. meh.
