    Thumbs up

    Super Metroid with box
Knights of the Round with box
    Doom with box
    Rival Turf with box
    Super R-Type with box

I usually don't go to flea markets in the winter or goodwill on the weekends, but today I wasn't particularly busy so I decided to do both.

    From Goodwill(s):

JVC X'EYE - $10. Not sure if it works yet since it didn't come with a power supply (I already ordered one though, so that's almost another $20). Besides coming with a few common genesis games taped around it, two 6 button controllers, a Saturn controller and a PS1 AV cable were taped around it as well...

I also got: Gradius V, God of War and Sega Classics Collection - All complete and in mint condition $5 each

    Flea market:
(Genesis) Alex Kidd in the enchanted castle and Target Earth - Both Complete $3 each.
    (PS1) Valkyrie Profile - Complete $5

To kick things off, a couple items from one of the jobs...

Extra Street Fighter IV promo Chun Li figures and a Sansa e250 media player. Figures were free and the player was old lost clearance for $20.00. I've installed rockbox on it and it's actually a damn nice player.

However the big one, one of my personal arcade grails has been achieved, I finally own a Klax cabaret...

It's in really nice shape although it does need a new control panel overlay. I paid $225.00 including delivery, can't complain. It works great except on occasion there's a slight purple hue flicker across the display. I'm guessing something is just loose (I've already reseated stuff on the PCB, etc. but haven't went through it totally) as it didn't have said problem before moving it.

It may not be the nineties, but there is still time for Klax.

Anyways, I kicked off the month with an NES game:

    M.C. Kids (cart only) - $2.50

Today, at a Micro Center store, I picked up these new, sealed Xbox games: Reservoir Dogs ($6.28), Amped 2 ($3.91), and The Godfather ($5.22). I also picked up a clearance mini-book called Super #1 Robot: Japanese Robot Toys 1972-1982 for $4.99. I recognize a few of the toys I had as a kid, like the Shogun Warriors figures. Sweet.

I also saw a Neo-Geo CD game, a Fatal Fury title (I don't recall exactly which one), in a Movie Trading Company store for $74.99. I've never seen a Neo-Geo CD console in real life, so I have no idea if that's a normal price for such a thing. And of course, since they only had the one game, that means that they probably had the console there, and someone bought it and all the games except that one. It's there just to taunt me, to let me know that I missed out on something.

    Today was a Dreamcast day.

    Armada (complete) - $5

Sega Dreamcast Collection - Prima's Official Strategy Guide - $2.99

The guide covers AeroWings, Blue Stinger, Flag to Flag Racing, The House of the Dead 2, Hydro Thunder, Mortal Kombat Gold, Monaco Grand Prix, NFL 2K, Power Stone, Ready 2 Rumble, Sega Bass Fishing, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Online, Soul Calibur, Tokyo Xtreme Racer, Trickstyle, and Virtua Fighter 3tb.
Last edited by DigitalSpace; 03-04-2009 at 09:03 PM. Reason: The Dreamcast strategy guide was actually $2.99 - for some reason, I accidentally typed $3.99. Fixed.

Some good finds already this month! Very dry here right now plus I'm trying to cut down my trips to the thrifts to save a few bucks but I'm getting a little antsy...

Luckily Target is having some good clearance right now so I feel a little better.

I can relate, Deadman. I need to cut down my game spending tab as well. Unfortunately, it's because I'm quitting my job in week due to stress related issues. *Sigh* At least I'll have lots of time to work on the backlog of games I haven't finished yet.

Yes. They actually shipped some of my stuff quite quickly this time (Halo wars was shipped before the release, so I got it yesterday). I got my copy of Ys before my copy of PuzzleQuest Galactix though... and that one was in stock when I ordered it initally.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.
