    Demon's Crest aka "Demon's Blazon" aka "Gargoyle's Quest 3"

It's so nice, it must be mentioned twice..
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

All the KOEI SNES titles were great games - and still hold up well today.

WWF Royal Rumble and RAW was two solid and probably the best wrestling games back in the SNES days.

I must once again mention Space Megaforce, which seems to be fairly well known among hardcore shoot'em-up players but less so among casual shmup fans. It's a wonderful game... plays a lot like Blazing Lasers (both were developed by Compile -- and Space Megaforce is actually Super Aleste in Japan).

Illusion of Gaia is one of my all time favorites. I played Warlock and that game is horrible. Almost as bad as Blackthorne.

Uniracers was great - my dad thought i was insane - was always bitching "why would anyone want to play with riderless unicycles...?"

Actraiser 1 - I really liked that game. 2 sucked.

Rock and Roll Racing was really fun too. we played that forever.

Uniracers had some really cool music. And the ability to do really cool flips and tricks was great.

    Super Conflict!

I never hear anybody talk about this game, but if you're into any hex-based wargames at all, you have to have this game! Basically it's Master of Monsters with a WWII theme. 55 scenarios in the campaign mode makes for plenty of solo playtime, and then there's the head-to-head mode for 2 player warfare!

And, it seems to be SUPER RARE too. I lucked out and found two sealed copies for only $20 apiece at a swap meet about 5 years ago, so I picked them both up, and I'm oh-so-glad I did! I haven't seen any other copies of it since then, except on ebay, and they're always cart only, no box or manual.

One of my favorite RPGs for the SNES is a game I never hear anyone talk about. Dragon View, it's the not-so-sucky sequal to Drakhen and is just a really nice side scrolling, action RPG.

And after reading the description for SOS I'll have to check it out. Sounds pretty cool.

I have to second Demon's Crest. It is my favorite sleeper hit on the SNES.

The game has awesome varied gameplay, strtegic elements in particular for the boss battles, superb first-rate Capcom graphics, atmosphere a plenty, and hidden items which are an invitation to explore; and the last boss battle is so great I still remember it.

It is truly a hidden gem.

    Spindizzy Worlds

Great music and gameplay, and for those of you that don't know, this plays like marble madness

Not sure if it's a rarity but it's by far my favorite game made for the SNES. Absolutely a must have.

I don't think anyone has mentioned DIRT TRAX FX yet... pardon me if it has.

This was a late-release dirtbike racer that came out when Nintendo was trying to convince everyone to stay 16-bit and was releasing games with FX chips that displayed simple polygonal graphics.

It's a great racing game bogged down by terrible music, a horrid interface, and the worst character design EVER. The racing is top-notch, though, and while the graphics are VERY simple (flat-shaded polygons that make the original Virtual Racer look like Outrun 2) the control is great and the racing is intense. Think of it as Excitebike 3-D (the game is truly 3-D.) This one does NOT play well on emulators AT ALL. Buggy as can be!

    Cheers
