For me its always been desert strike, then urban, and finally jungle strike. great games all around the one on n64 was the axe that finally killed this off.

I have one of these and it never gets played. Boring and awkward to control - but hey, it beats getting shot at for real, I guess! The only problem is I had to pay (not much) for it.

I'll say Desert Strike, although I prefer the version that was ported to the Atari Lynx because it has less clumsy control.

I always liked "Jungle Strike" most.

I liked Jungle Stike the most too, maybe because it was the first I played and remember it the most. However I liked all three, and still enjoy playing them from time to time.

I loved Urban Strike on the SNES. I remember the Genesis versions being very buggy, though.

My favorite overall is Jungle Strike, but on the SuperNes. The Genesis version wasn't nearly as good.

On the Genesis, my favorite is Desert Strike.

Desert Strike. I played it to death on the Amiga. The control scheme probably works a bit better on that system since it used a joystick (which is almost necessary since the game worked in isometric.. the D-Pad was hard to use on this).

For completion's sake, don't forget Soviet Strike and Nuclear Strike for the PS1.

I have "Soviet Strike" but I quit on the mission where a guy is taking off in a plane.

I'd go back to it, but I don't have my Playstation here.

Played Desert and Jungle Strike for Genesis quite a bit back in the day. Eventually, when PC sims like Longbow came out, it was a lot more fun to blow stuff up with a Chopper in that. Favorite is probably Jungle Strike.

I remember having the first three games on the Megadrive. I know I definitely completed the first two; I seem to remember them being pretty damn hard at the end. I never had a chance to play Soviet or Nuclear.

I'd really like to see the Strike series remade or something similar for the current generation. Or are there any new games with this type of gameplay available on the PS3?

They must have made tons of Desert Strike for Genesis. They were still for sale NEW at Toys R Us in 2006.

i liked jungle strike for the genesis the most. it was the first of the series i played. i didnt like desert strike because of the boring environments and i didnt like urban strike cause i kept hitting all the buildings and it just looked too crowded.

i also really liked soviet strike for the ps1, never played nuclear strike. out of curiousity, what was the n64 one?

what was the differences between the genensis and the snes versions, to all whom say the snes was best? i only played the genesis ones (with desert strike in DOS)

Soviet Strike was awesome, not sure about Nuclear Strike. I also dug Future Cop: LAPD, which supposedly was originally to be a Strike game.

My favorite of the Genesis ones was Jungle Strike.

How does Future Cop have anything to do with helicopters?

If there really was a 3D form of the Strikes, the closest approximation for the 32B era I can name is of course the G-Police series.

Those 2 are very underlooked, I'll add, ditto with Colony Wars.
