CUSTOM SPACE INVADERS



So exactly how can you design your own Space Invaders game?
Your game will be based on Space Invaders Deluxe(Nukey). You have never played a version of Space Invaders like this before on your Atari.
I will send you a question sheet that will be filled out asking what you would like to see in your game. I will take those answers and begin making the game for you. For example, You can put your name as the Invaders (Up to six letters) or pick characters from your favorite Atari games (Also up to six) or anything else you can come up with. You will receive screenshots of the work in progress and changes can be made until you are satisfied with a final version.

Okay this one's got a bit of a story behind it. Way back in 1984 when I was in my early teens I was having a conversation with one of my mother's friends who was both a drummer and keyboardist. He was telling me that in about 20 years' time music would no longer be kept on cassettes, records or even CD's (which were still very new at the time), but would actually be stored on computer chips. To which my naive yet technophilic response was to ask, "You mean like you'd plug a cartridge into an Atari and it would start playing music?" To which he said, "Yeah, something like that."

So in honor of this fellow's prophecy coming true by way of MP3 I present the best selling album of 2004 - 20 years after our conversation - in 2600 style, and leave you all to wonder what might have been.
