Default no picture trying to play a sega cd 32x game

so i got my hands on a "Night Trap 32x CD" iso.. burnt both cds..

now i'm trying to play the first cd but i get no picture.. only sound.. i'm using the RF addapter..

also tried to use the A/V output on the 32x itself.. but with that i don't get anything... no sound no pic..

    what could be wrong?

(its been so long since i have tried to use this thing.. i don't even know if i have it hooked up right..)

right now i just have it pluged into the top of gen 1 sega with a power cord in it. (the power cord is from a gen 2 sega.)

    any ideas?

and if i need any other plugs.. is there any way of making them? i'm great with wiring.. (any links to websites that show you how to make them would be killer)

Make sure all your contacts are clean. The contacts of the 32x to the genesis and the game going into the 32x. You need a jumper wire between the 32x and the genesis, but you should get some picture without it. I don't remember if you plug the video cords into the genesis or the 32x though, so someone else can help with that. You do need to have both power plugs plugged in though.

Hooking the 32x up to a 1st generation Genesis is a little complicated. I know you need an extra cord that came with the 32x to get it to work. Not having this cord plugged in cases graphics problems that sound similar to what you’re experiencing. Best bet would be to check out an FAQ online.

Check to make sure you have all the cords first.
