    Default Irritating eBay trends

Im probably not the only one that finds eBay to be more and more irritating with each passing day. It seems the extreme price gouging for collectables or items that are potentially in demand or hard to find is the status quo and labelling every game auction as "RARE - EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND" etc etc- is the norm.

Anyone else here think this is a big problem which is getting worse?

Not really, I don't pay much attention to ebay. I can honestly say I've only bought two things on there in the last two years and they where a Xbox 360 kiosk control pack and a projector. Otherwise If I surf ebay I mindlessly look at a very limited array of items (usually prototypes, development stuff if it's there, and Kisoks stuff...) Honestly I almost completely taken ebay out of the equasion. If your this pissed off at ebay you should try chasethechuckwagon.com. That or stick to the DP/other forum sell threads.

This has been an on going thing with ebay anyway.

Nope. It's a preexisting problem that's been there for years and years.

Shuffling this off to the Auctions forum...

Guess what? People have been calling common items rare on ebay since its debut. When you allow people full control over the listing title, stuff is going to be overhyped.

Honestly, does it matter either way? As long as the item itself is properly described, who cares if there's some hyperbole used in the item title? If you're buying Sea Squirrel II on the Narcovision just because ebay user lordslayerdeath6969 says it's uber ultra super rare, maybe you should do some more research before purchasing.
