Thanks for the guitar hero 3 controller with game alert I picked up 2.
I had to ring them up seperately.

I got the metal slug 7 and persona fe,valkaria, I also picked up 2 street fighter 4 360 tournament sticks this month. Great gamer game sale. I passed on the Wii resident evil umbrella.

Today I had to drive my half-blind mother down to Waco, TX, so on the way back I hit a few thrifts and things.

First off, I went to the FX GameXchange store in Richland Mall, and picked up (all loose): Killer Bees, Sid the Spellbinder!, and Smithereens!, all for the Odyssey2, for $1.95 each. I also picked up Gremlins for the Atari 5200 for $2.95.

At a Goodwill, I bought a Ms. Pac-Man plug-and-play wireless version for $5. And later, at a Goodwill Computer Center, I bought (also loose) Dungeons of Daggorath for the TRS-80 CoCo for $2, TI-99/4A Demonstration cartridge for $2, and a TI cassette game called Night Mission. It felt weirdly good to have the opportunity to buy a TI game on cassette again, like back in the olden days.

Firstly, I remember seeing that exact copy of 5200 Gremlins. I don't have a 5200 so I'm glad someone that could use it bought that.

Did you know, at the Goodwill Computer Works, they throw out 5.25" floppies? It's true. I saved Battle Chess from there one time. They were going to throw it out. Anyway, I'm also glad you found something there. They rarely have any interesting video game related stuff.

And yes, I live in Waco and I know the places you went to. You should've checked out the Goodwills on Valley Mills Drive and Hewitt Drive. They have the best stuff out of the 5 Goodwills here.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

I wish I had hit all the other Goodwills, but I didn't know where all of them were. I had put screengrabs of thrift locations from Google Maps on my iPod, but I didn't get everything. And I didn't even know about that Goodwill Computer Works, I was there because there's a thrift next door that I found on Google Maps (which turned out to be a women's clothing thrift).

I used to live in Waco when I was a kid, but I couldn't recognize anything this time, all the landmarks have changed. Even when I drove through in 2003 to go to the Austin Game Expo, I still sort of could tell where I was. The place has blown up since I was there! Couldn't even find my old house. Still, I have to go back again to pick my mom up on Thursday, I might hit a thrift or two I missed today. And I'll probably eat at Buzzard Billy's again. Great little restaurant. EDIT: About Buzzard Billy's... my gut's been rebelling against their food since I got home, I've been in the bathroom six times since I got back. I think I'd like to retract my recommendation of that place.

    Just a couple quick pickups.

First, a bunch of Wii / NDS information cards from a Nintendo Retailer Reference binder...

I don't have / care to work on collecting a Nintendo RRG, so they're all going to be up for sale.

Second, three brand new sealed copies of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Red Rescue Team for the GBA, $10.00 for all three...

One for me, the others will go in my sale / trade box.

What's the X68000 box in the middle? Is it a component for the computer or is it a software box?

That's a cool lot. What do you search on ebay to find those?

Used some giftcards to pick up a few cheap DS games from Best Buy.

    Dynasty Warriors
Naruto....one of them. Looks like an RPG. If not, it's probably going back.
    Retro Gaming Challenge

Also bought MGS Portable Ops Plus from Gamestop. Not sure if this has any real single player stuff so I may return that one too.

I only ended up with 3 common O2 games ($1.99 each) that it turned out I already had and a loose Seaquest DSV for the Genesis ($0.99.)

But the guy who got to Goodwill just moments before me . . .

He walked out with a 2600 and a pile of games, and much more interestingly, a Turbografx16 with controller. We spoke a little bit, and it only cost $6.99.

Man! The Turbografx and the Neo Geo are the only two systems left I'm hoping to pick up. In 4+ years of collecting, I've only seen a Turbo in the wild ONCE. At a used record store. For $75. And then it shows up at a Goodwill that 15 minutes earlier I was complaining to my wife never has anything good anymore. So close!

I'm happy for the guy, though. He was excited. Glad to see it going to someone who wants it, rather than the ebay/craigslist sellers who have pillaged this Goodwill over the past couple of years.

I got the controller for one of those thrown into a lot a few months ago, and have no use for it. It's yours for the cost of shipping.
