I'm trying to rearrange my stuff. I want to set my CDX on top of the Wii as they're the same size.
How delicate is the Wii? Could I set the CDX on top of it or will that damage the Wii?

It's not safe at all!
They will mate during the night and produce the Virtual Gear. A quasi portable system that is hard on your eyes and eats batteries. Then when you start to play it, it will tell you that a new model is coming out but still expect you to play it until a week later it just disappears and neither system will comment about it. Beyond that the first time you turn it on it will show the demo for a new Zelda game but it won't actually come out on that system it'll be pushed back until they mate again.
I'd suggest wrapping them in plastic and putting them in separate rooms, I'd also advise not to hook them up to the same TV.
Good point! In fact, I think It'd be best to take to an electrician and have them neutered (cut the ground on the AC adapter). Actually, that would have been funnier if either of those AC adapters had a ground.
But seriously, will it damage the wii to set another console on it permanently?
both systems are too expensive to take the chance, in my opinion. At the least, try to find something to put between them that will prevent direct contact and allow a bit of airflow. Not sure what.
Hmmm... based on your guys' comments, I don't think I'll set the CDX on top of the Wii. You're right - too expensive to risk.
BUT, could I set the Wii on top of the xbox 360 HD-DVD drive?
Does the HD-DVD drive get hot when not in use? What about when it is in use?
Ugghh... I'm completely out of space in my entertainment unit and it sucks.
Don't they sell cooling units for different systems? You could stick one of those between the two systems. They sell them for setting laptops on, too.....
Personally I don't think its a good idea to directly stack consoles. Heat, interference, and all that jazz... Might be time to consider an addition to the entertainment system.
Wants:
Starflight Starmap and Code Wheel
Starflight II Starmap
Got these for sale or trade? PM ME!!!
I've stacked systems on top of each other and I've never had any problems. I can't see how the Wii would harm the CDX or vice versa.
I wouldn't stack any system on top of the other. At least not now a day's, when shit put's out so much heat. It's not like stacking your 2600 on the ole' VCR...
Tell you what I did:
My wife likes to play UNO on the 360 so I hooked it up in the living room (Also where my original X-box is...) We have a small entertainment center and only have one box in it free for game systems. I bought a nice looking piece of pine at Home cheapo and made a custom self standing mini shelf to put over the 360 so nothing is directly on top of it, and just set the original X-box on that. Cost's like 10 bucks and a little time, also looks kinda' Rad.

I cannot see that you would be using the HD-DVD to often anyway so that should be fine. The Xbox does not access it when not in use, and how often do you really turn your wii on anyway?
If you're running an intercooler wouldn't that just put hot air directly into another system? I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to system damage due to being stacked, heat, etc (never had it happen to me), but I wouldn't take the risk. I just got a Wii today and unfortunately I'll be taking down either the SNES, N64, or NES to make room. I suggest you do the same, or get some cheap shelf to put a system on.
