Default Advice on Mame Frontend for cab needed

It's been about 2 years since my Mame cabinet bit the dust. The monitor burned out, and the computer I was using was pretty poor anyway.

Recently, a friend found me a nice big CRT to put in it, and I managed to put together a Frankenstein of a computer that will run Mame quite nicely. Windows XP SP3, I think, if that matters.

I used Mamewah before, but it appears to be out of date and not a good choice, at this point. I have an X-Arcade 2 player joystick system mounted onto the cab (actually looks good, unlike some of the ones they sell). So I'll need something that is compatible with Windows xp and the arcade sticks I'm using.

Any suggestions? I'm just a bit out of the loop. I'm hoping to get things up and running soon. Thanks!

MaxArcade is not coming up for me in Google. Maybe I'm missing something...

    Anything else?

Dunno if it's still being updated but I've always used GameLauncher.

I've made four machines with MaLa. Easy to use, and lots of features.

I'm putting one together now using HyperSpin, with video previews and such.

    Looks very professional.

Am I the only person that actually likes Mamewah? The setup can be a pain the first time, but once you learn what to do it's pretty straight forward. I've set it up on many peoples computers and they all love the results. It was designed to be used in a cab unlike other front ends...though that may be different now, I havn't used any others in a long time.

No you're not. I love using Mamewah. It runs even on the oldest machines. For those of you who would like to try it out. I put a package together with a bunch of emulators already included. http://www.retrovicio.com/foro/showthread.php?t=977

Without a doubt one of the most powerful front ends is Atomic FE.

Its allows full customisation of skins ( u can create custom skins ) seperate games by catagory, screen shots whatever.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, guys. I am going to go with Maximus Arcade, as it seems to offer a lot of stuff, looks nice, and does a lot of the work for you.

It's nice having a super powerful, very customizable set-up, but I'd really rather just get a list of my MAME roms with some screenshots and start playing.

    Thanks again!

did you check out atomic fe?
You can do that also.. Just remember if you have 3000 roms.. and you want to play a " fighting game " or whatever, how will you find it? unless u want something really basic and u know what game is where.
My major issue with so many front ends i see out there is they arent sorted, so you have a MEGA list and u dont know whats' what ( or more importantly other who might want to play it . ) they dont know what game is what.

AtomicFE has a whole lot of nice features, but it's confusing as HELL. I'm going to stick with MaLa simply because it has everything I need and I know how to set it up.
