Hm, is this version of The Ring different than the one that came out? That one is dated a month before the game came out, so is it basically the same as the release?
Rom Version 1.0 generally means that the game is final code. There may be some small changes due to bug fixes, but that's pretty uncommon by the time it's stamped onto a GD-Rom. Bugs or not, that's usually the version that gets shipped.
They even spelled their own name wrong...
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.
