    Default Any hidden Wii gems?

I was just wondering if anyone has played any games on the Wii you feel are really overlooked? I'm just looking for a new game to get for the Wii, but I just don't know what to get. I'm thinking about getting Klonoa, but I'm unsure. Here are the games I own/played:

    Metroid 3
    Zelda TP
    Mario Galaxy
    Zak and Wiki
    Mario Strikers
    Super Paper Mario
    Brawl
    Animal Crossing
    Excite Truck

    Thanks!

    Baroque

It's a surreal, atmospheric dungeon crawler. The story is revealed in small pieces, and you probably won't even understand it fully after finishing the game. It's DEFINITELY overlooked, and it can be unforgiving at times.

    Scarface the World is Yours.

While it's ported from the PS2 to the Wii with motion sensing controls, the Wii only had 100,000 sales. The PS2 version may have got a million sales, but it doesn't change the fact that it sold like crap for the Wii and it's an amazing game.

Even though the city of Miami is not true to life and is very small, there are a ton of unique concepts added to the game, well done missions, and topped with the most essential of a video game(amazing gameplay.) Every area within the movie is also included and does an amazing job representing it, from how well the Babylon Club is to Tony's mansion, it looks like they watched and rewatched to make the areas taken from the movie exact representations while adding additional stuff to give it a more realistic feel.

It's the best GTA clone and better than any and all GTA games in my opinion, GTA4, Driver Parallel Lines, and Driver 76 are the closest to compare to Scarface the World is Yours. However, there are alot of people who say the game sucks because it ruins the ending of the movie. I'm a huge fan of the movie and the alternate twist on the game doesn't bother me.
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

    Speed Racer: The Videogame.

It's one of the few third-party Wii games that uses the motion controls so effectively that it feels like it was just made to play on the Wii. (Which, in this case, I think it was).

    Play it.

I just got this game....seconded for sure. I HATE racing games and I was totally into Speed Racer in minutes. It's really REALLY fun!

I like Scarface, but I think the Godfather is the better overall sandbox game on the Wii. The on-foot controls in Scarface are a bit wonky to me. Both games are dirt cheap now though, so there's really no reaosn you can't try out both.

My favorite game on the Wii is No More Heroes. It's not for everyone, but I think it offers what more Wii games should: a mature story, stylish graphics, and controls that use motion well but aren't overly convoluted.

I'd also recommend trying out some of the "light gun" games like House of The Dead: Overkill. The genre really lends itself well to the Wii controller.

I quite liked Dewy's Adventure. It's a pretty unique platformer. It has a very "kiddie" look to it, but it's actually quite challenging.

Boom Blox for multiplayer for sure.
Madworld is a great Beat'em Up.
De Blob is probably my favorite game of last year.

Kornorinpa, either 1 or 2 (probably 2 since it's easier to find). Think Marble Madness only with Wii controlls. Both are easily in my top 10 or 15 for the system.

    I second Kororinpa!
Its excellent. Such a classic videogame thing but done in an oh so new way, and one of the most 3D games I've ever played. Haven't played the sequel yet but looking forward to it.

Bit.Trip Beat is indeed good also for a download.

Check out Blast Works. It's definitely unique and offers a lot for such a low key game. It's also pretty cheap.

    Mercury Meltdown Revolution.

Controls perfectly with the Wii-mote, and it's a fun brain-teaser. Best of all, you can find it for $20 new.

Boomblox is amazingly fun and great with friends. Also, try the Wiiware game Target Toss Pro: Bags. It's a port of a bar game and the graphics and sound are mediocre. HOWEVER, for some odd reason throwing beanbags into a hole (via well programmed motion controls) for points is great fun with friends and gets VERY competitive.

I'll throw my hat in for Kororinpa, Boom Blox and light gun games.

My favorite light gun game so far is Ghost Squad. great arcade fun, wacky unlockables, and 4 player shooting action. I haven't picked up HoD: Overkill yet.

I didn't know there was a Corn Hole game out for the Wii. I'm guessing it is a port of the arcade game Bags. I wish someone would make a Wii game called Wii Lawn Sports. It could have Corn Hole, Ladder Golf, Lawn Darts, Tippy Cup, Beer Pong, Horseshoes and Bacci Ball. It would be the Best drinking game ever!
