    Default Mint CIB NGPC

Well, I just got my japenese one, but I want an american aswell. How much should I expect to pay? There's only two auctions going on eBay at the moment, one being a sealed NGPC with a Buy It Now price of $229.90, which seems kinda too much.

Sounds right. You may not be able to find many in the cardboard box anymore, but there are still plenty in those plastic packs with the loose games to be had if you do some searching on-line.

I think I paid about $40 for mine in a lot with other stuff (complete in box, too) within the last year or so, so, caveat emptor.

Thats a good medium range but I have found many over the last year for $20-30 with games included. I definitely wouldn't spend more than $35 on just the NGPC unit though.

Around 40$ for a sealed one was an average price during last year.

I bought my aqua blue NGPC CIB for $35 about 3 years ago. They never appear to change much in value and truthfully with the solid games that you can buy $40 is a good ceiling price for complete and $25 for a lonely unit. Anything less is a good buy and anything more should come with games (Clam-shelled preferred ).

Also, watch the color of the unit and box variants. Some colors (clear) are a bit harder to come by than others and usually can snatch a few more $$. Not a huge difference, but something to bear in mind. Pass that $229 by, there are plenty more to be had at much better prices.

Well for US systems there are really only 2 different boxes. The stand alone 'Orange' box (and its burst-less variant, but thats a very very small point that 99.9% of NGPC people don't even know/care about) and the Sonic bundled ones. Two of those Sonic bundles are quite common and the other one is hard to get. Personally I had a hard time getting one of the most common system colors (blue) in a stand alone box.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

You're the reason I knew about that variant! I knew you'd come around this thread eventually. Hope you're enjoying the one I sold you.
