Default Pokemon Silver Beta Cartridge - Real?

I got this on ebay, I'm unsure if it's the real deal.
Well, the description said it was a pre-release cartridge, not necessarily a beta, I guess.
But one that was sent out to magazines before it was released in actual stores.

The cartridge seems a whole lot wider than the normal ones.
Gold was also up for auction
regretably I couldn't buy it because of some mistake on ebay.

I'd love to find one of Crystal, though.

Know if it's fake or real? What can it be worth?

You can't tell anything from that side of the board. You'd need to see the chips and any of the labeling on the board to determine if its real or not. Since its complete case, it'd most likely be a final review copy of some kind.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Looks like a pirate cart to me, i've never seen a test cart with a clear casing. Here are some pictures of dev carts: http://devkits.handheldmuseum.com/GB...FlashCarts.htm
