Default Q: The Demon Darkness, Gameboy.

Hi guys, I was browsing the german ebay today and found a game I never thought left Japan. The game is The Demon Darkness and if this game is legit (It looks legit to me) it has to be super rare.

Is this the sequel to Gargoyle´s Quest and if so in wich country was this released besides Japan?

I post a link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.de/Gameboy-THE-DEMON...QQcmdZViewItem

Please help me if anyone knows the origin and if this is the sequel to Gargoyle´s Quest.

I've wondered about this, too. As far as I've been able to determine it's simply a Game Boy version of the NES sequel to Gargoyle's Quest, and it was never released outside of Japan. This item for sale looks like the legitimate Japanese release -- it has the clear plastic tray and the normal inserts, which I doubt would be included in a pirated copy.

As you can see in the picture there is a two white notes, one that looks like a completion of a manual or something and a piece of paper with some logos and whatnot.

The "seal of quality" mark is round not oval and this might say that this is a european release. Im from Sweden and it was surely never released here, my guess is that its a german release or a very good mock-up.

There is what appears to be Chinese text on the paperwork as well - maybe it's a Hong Kong/Asian release?

    More likely an Asian release.

Japanese Game Boy box covers don't have the vertical GAME BOY on the side of the front cover like in America
