Neat, I remember these at Toys R Us.
However, I'd never pay $2000 for one.

Yes sir, you surely saw that....because I am the one who bought it for around $50. The shipping cost more than the item, but not by much. Mine is not in quite as nice of condition, but still nice. Mine was also "converted" by Nintendo to fit the Gameboy Pocket.
I would be curious if the lock on all of these displays is the same; because I lost my key so I have to leave it unlocked now.
Nice buy. I don't have that cash...but nice system. I love mine.
Mike
Oh you got the pocket one? Awsome i did see that one a long time ago. Very nice.
congrats...I found one at the flea for 80$ 2 years ago...monitor was a bit darker but everything was working.
Still remember I had to hauled the damn thing with my arms to my car about 1 miles from the flea!
Sold it for 200$ a year later
Oh eBay! you are such a pain, I am addicted to you like crack cocaine. You offer things I cannot find in stores,You are the pimp, and we are all your whores.
Yeah. I've seen several at local flea markets and such, and they generally sit and collect dust even with price tags of like $70 to $100. I eventually picked one up for $50 and it's been sitting in my garage for a couple years, now. I think my friend picked one up a few months back for like $30.

I'm just messing with you, man. But I simply HAD to jump on the bandwagon of people letting you know you overpaid. But hey, it happens. Everyone here's picked up a game or system somewhere and overpaid.
Just not by $1600.
"Overpaid" is just an opinion...If you love it that is all that matters
It is a great item! I love mine
Mike
I think you're a complete goober by that last statement, icarwngs55.

I wonder if the monitors get burn-in from the constant display of that Gameboy border that simulates the screen cover of the real thing. Probably do!
I would happily pick one of these up for $100 if it was local, just for the sheer novelty of it, and I'm not one for cluttering up my place with retail fixtures.
Yikes. They look pretty cool though for sure.
I would really like to find one of those cheap, like under $100. They're cool as hell.
Though OP is insane paying thousands for it.

Wow you must have had a bunch of free time on your hands to point out my error's in grammer. I'm not the best speller and I dont claim to be but as long as you get the point and its close enough what do I care?
In any event I know it was expensive and the first photo i posted was not one taken by me that was the person who sold it to me. It sits like it should now. I just gotta get a stand to sit it on. If anyone here is in the dallas area this piece will be on display at sgc (screwattack gaming convention) from july 3rd-5th.

Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

Im not sure yet. I'm going to talk to craig about it and see what I can do. Myself and our ghostbusters fan group are guests and my car (ecto hhr) will be on display. If anything I will have it hooked up by or in the rear hatch of the car for people to play but that hasnt been decided. Once i know something more solid I'll let you know. I'm gonna see what it would take to set up a booth as I have some things id like to sell.
