Default E3 Games, makes me glad I rent

Out of the 100 or so upcoming games announced at e3 Modern Warfare 2 & Splinter Cell Conviction the only ones Im really eager for. Still going to have to see if they live up to the hype.
I've been using gamefly rather than just straight out buying games, saved me easily $700 last year on games I was thinking about buying. A lot of rentals I beat and send back within a week, $60 for a game that isn't fun to replay is just crazy, and a lot really aren't worth owning, not really expecting that to change most of these new games. what are your favs from E3?

really not much of anything to look forward to from E3 for me this year, which is actually nicer than having a bunch of stuff to look forward to... so maybe I can get caught up on more old titles now, since I won't be having to keep up with very much new stuff... just a few games for the Wii and the PC... everything else is pure crap and sequels that have been rehashed so many times that I'd rather see the series end than continue on life support...

Renting is smart. But do you know whats even smarter than that? Downloading free demos. You don't even have to pay the renting fee of Gamefly/Blockbusters to do this. And since atleast 80-90% of all retail/XBLA/PSN games have demos availble for you to try before you buy, we are in a really great time in gaming. We no longer have to gamble with our $50-60.

As for E3, I definitely disagree with you. There were so many great game announcements there that I'm looking foward too. Granted, some of them I already knew about, but it's still going to be a very good time to be a gamer for the next year and a half.

I didn't mean I was dissappoited by e3 at all, I just don't buy that many games. But I totally agree, it's going to be a great year for games. I plan on going though almost all of them, I've started to fill my gamefly q with upcoming releases. SO many sequels:

    Halo3,
    Red Steel 2,
    Left 4 Dead 2,
    Crackdown 2,
    Mass Effect 2,
    Assasins Creed 2.
    Can't think of anymore.

And yes, free demos are great. but really its only good for a small taste of the gameplay, for a lot of games, its not enough for me. Nothing like renting the disc with option to buy the and being able to experience the whole thing for a fraction of the cost of owning it.

i saw a few games im excited about but i really never buy new games. I would subscribe to gamefly if it was cheaper, id pay like 10 a month, i dont need 3 at a time, just 1. Blockbuster is coming out with an online game rental and movie service. I would be interested in that depending on how much it is.

I only play games that I get sent from gamefly. If gemsfly doesn;t have it then the game must not be good.

Out of all the games i played at e3 id have to say

    Batman
    New Super Mario Bros Wii
    Mario Galaxy 2
    God of war 3
    Golden sun DS
    Ghostbusters

The mario games were a complete suprise when i saw them there and once i played them they were awsome. Batman is gonna rock and so will God of war 3. Games like call of duty and shooters like that are so bland and over done to me there are just to many of them that are alike and they are all the same to me. Yes i played them but got 0 enjoyment out of them.

God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo 5, Last Guardian, Golden Sun, Metroid, and Bayonetta are going to be awesome.

While Bayonetta looks amazing gameplay wise(it's DMC,) the art style is something I really don't like. Maybe I'll like it more once I play it, but the art style for the characters look pretty bad in my opinion.

I have quite a few games I still need to play, so I'll wait on these games to drop because I know for sure I won't have to worry about them going rare and dropping off the face of the universe.
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.
