    Quite disappointing.

"We're running the same game for both platforms but if we made a PS3-only game, for example, you could double the amount of objects on screen that you're seeing. The PlayStation 3 has seven processors and the 360 only has three, so seven versus three means you can do a lot more on the PS3." Randel added.
Are you kidding me? Their argument is that the PS3 has more CPU cores, so it can run twice as much crap? No wonder the PS3 version sucks, they have no idea how the platform works.

My dad gave me one dollar bill
    'Cause I'm his smartest son,
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters
'Cause two is mroe than one!

And then i took the quarters
    And traded them to Lou
For three dimes-i guess he don't know
that three is mroe than two!

Just them, along came old blind Bates
And just 'cause he can't see
He gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
And four is more than three!

And i took the nickels to Hiram Coombs
    Down at the seed-feed store,
and the fool gave me five pennies for them,
And five is more than four!

And then i went and showed my dad,
and he go red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head-
Too proud of me to speak!

Remember all my bitching about the developer, Terminal Reality? Guess I was right. They have no idea what to do when it comes to optimizing stuff. :P

I think it's safe to say that ALL movie based games on the NES were terrible...regardless of what company made them.

Batman by Sunsoft is one of my favorite games on the NES, as is Gremlins 2 by Sunsoft.

Those are probably the best examples. Batman Returns by Konami wasn't bad either.

Man, that's one where the 360 is a clear winner. The PS3 version looks so washed out. It really looks like they didn't try. PS2 version is the biggest failure though.

Again, it's 20 bucks. It's 20 bucks and no one expected this game to have a PS2 release anyway. I can live with the problems and enjoy the alternate version for that.

As for the PS3 / 360 comparison stuff no one can relax about, that's great if you want to sit five inches from your screen. It's a fun game, that's what matters.

Yeah, I definitely spoke to soon. Batman is one of the best movie based games ever made. It's just all those bad games like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Dick Tracy, Back to the Future, Mad Max, The Terminator, Robocop, Ghostbusters, etc...make up most of the NES's movie based library, so it's easy to forget the few good ones sometimes.

Now that I think about it harder, I thought the NES Jurassic Park was a somewhat decent game.

Robocop was a decent game as it was actually something you can enjoy playing. Then Robocop vs Terminator was really good(Genesis version was best.)

Yeah, well, if you're to bother porting a game to a given platform, the least that can be done is a minimum of quality control to ensure that the game isn't severely bugged and doesn't freeze. It is a waste of 20 bucks because of that. It's more than subpar, it's as if the PS2 version was added as an afterthought and rushed out.

Gamespot is the only one so far to have reviewed the DS version, giving it 5.0. Basically: "Some busted mechanics and picky controls will make you think twice before bringing these Ghostbusters on the road." Looks like it's also to be avoided. http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/gh...08/review.html

    Unhappy

I'm nearing the end of the PS2 version. (About 85% done.) Here are my glitch counts:

    - Game froze completely needing a reboot of the system - 4 times
    - All sound suddenly dropped out and I finished the level in silence - 2 times
    - Somehow walked through a wall and found my character trapped "outside" of the gamefield and unable to get back in - 1 time
    - Out of sync voice/mouth issues - Sporatic, but Peck's mouth NEVER MOVED when he spoke in the entire game, even though all other characters did IN THE SAME SCENE.
    - Game slowed to a crawl due to too many moving character onscreen at once - 2 times
    - Grainy, choppy cutscenes that looked like bad YouTube videos. - 2 times, though the others were clear (?)

It's strange, but I rate the game itself a solid 8 or 9 out of 10. It's that fun and that well-written/designed. But the sheer frustration of working through the bugs and glitches (plus not knowing when/if the system is gonna crash again) drops the PS2 version down to a 5 in my eyes. I just cannot recommend it to anyone, even though I find the game itself to be outsanding. The bugs are a complete game-killer.

Finished the PS3 version a few hours ago. I loved it, just wished it was a little longer. But by far, my most enjoyable part was watching my 3 and a half year old dance to the theme song and say ghostbusters when the song said Who ya gonna call.
