Well, iPhone should have an Apple ][ emulator anyway, far more games too.

What a shame, I've been considering switching to ATT for an i-Phone and this would have been a good way to win me over a lot faster.

    It's Apple, they're evil.

I'm surprised it doesn't at this point.

I'm guessing Apple doesn't want to deal with licensing all of the old third-party software.

    Somebody didn't read the article...

My $0.02: you buy Apple when you don't particularly care about your freedom (or price competitiveness; but hey at least it works). Granted, most people should buy a netbook instead if they want to run real PC applications.

They're not evil. They're just inconsistent, considering that several of the games they have are just emulated versions.

Apple sees more potential profit in selling a separate 'app' for every game.
Something like this would provide too much value to the consumer.

I was referring to Apple releasing an Apple II emulator, not the rejected C64 app.

Where in the article did it ever talk about why Apple will or won't develop a Apple II emulator? All I saw was a article written about this C64 emulator that they didn't grant a publishing license for.
