    Default JPN Exclusive 360 Titles

Is there a list of exclusive 360 titles from Japan? I'm waiting on a system to arrive and already have a couple of games (DDP Black Label Ex, Otomedius, Death Smiles, Shooting Love, Wrestle Kingdom).

What other non Japanese speaking friendly games are there that aren't already released in the US (even on other consoles)?

Raiden IV, but that will be fixed soon enough thanks to a upcoming NA release.

Yea, I was just going to wait for the NA release on that. I also ended up with Shikigami No Shiro III on the Wii instead of the Jpn 360 release. Hoping there are other exclusives that are worth grabbing though. I know a few coming soon (Ketsui in particular).

Are the Japanese exclusive Xbox games backwards compatible with the Japanese Xbox 360?

Tetris The Grand Master ACE comes to mind. It was a fairly early release and can be found pretty cheap now, which is nice considering it's the only TGM game on home console.

@SteveW, I believe so. Once it gets here I'll try some of my Xbox stuff to see. Hoping Metal Wolf Chaos works!

That's about the only Japanese Xbox exclusive that I really want. The idea just sounds so great. And it's pretty much all in English too, which totally boggles my mind why it wasn't brought out over here.

It's really a great game! One of my go to games whenever I want some quick destruction.

Mostly English. More than enough to be able to play it and enjoy the "story".

It doesn't appear on any Xbox backwards compatibility list. Japan only has 122 original Xbox titles that are backwards compatible. The only Japanese exclusives (I presume they're exclusive since I'm unfamiliar with their names) are the following.

    Bistro Cupid
    Ex Chaser
    Exaskeleton
    Flight Academy
    Innocent Tears
    Junko Takahashi's Mahjong Seminar
    Kabuki Warriors/Zan Kabuki
    Kunio Yonenaga's Shogi Seminar
    Lake Masters
    Nobunaga no Yabou Ranseiki
    Petit Copter
    Plus Plumb 2
    Psyvariar 2: Extended Edition
    Rent-A-Hero No. 1
    Tenerezza
    Tetsuya Nakajima's Othello Seminar
    Yukari Umesawa's Igo Seminar

What's Flight Academy? Only title in that list that sounds halfway interesting.

Psyvariar 2 and Rent-A-Hero are both very desirable, IMO. Isn't Magatama backwards compatible? It's an Asian Xbox Original, at least.

Looks like I missed a few titles including the one you mentioned, here's a list a DP poster created that looks to be more complete.

Rent A Hero doesn't interest me. Psyvariar 2 might be okay, I like shooters.

I could swear I saw it on Microsoft's backwards compatible list on their site, but on the US releases list which I thought was odd. I kind of assumed that some publisher was planning on bringing it out over here but never did before the original Xbox's run was over.

I never saw it on any BC list for US compatibility, unlike a few MIA North American releases like Richard Burns Rally, which got within weeks of a US release before Conspiracy had second thoughts and killed it (And appears in most BC list as a compatible US title).

That's why I was surprised when our resident MS cop said RAH almost made it out as a Xbox Original since I never saw it on any list. But it would make sense it was on the list if plans were in the works to rerelease it on the 360, so I suspect your remembering correctly.

Flight Acadamy is an airplane flying simulator. Knowledge of Japanese is pretty much a requirement to play it, I couldn't get off the runway, and I'm not even sure if I managed to get the plane turned on. If anyone knows how to play the game, please let me know.

Petit Copter on the other hand, I would recommend. Basically, all you do is fly an RC helicopter inside of a house and collect stars. It's a short game with not much replay value, but if you like flying fake helicopters and can get the game inexpensively, I recommend it.

Thinking about getting an Arcade. Can you set the dashboard to english?

Also, I'm not really sure, but I think JP use the same power system or whatnot as in the US, but I'm in Europe, so I need to know what kind of power adapter I need for it to work here! I already have an adapter, which I'm using to play NTSC systems up to Saturn, but I'm not sure if it can handle the 360.

    From wiki:

"The console uses an external power supply with a 5A / 100–120V AC input and DC output of 203/175/150 (depending on revision) W."

On my power adapter it says

    100 Watt
    AC/AC Step Down Converter
    Model: VC-100W(N)-EU
    PRI.: 220-240V - 50Hz 100W
    SEC.: 115V - 50Hz 870mA

Or, is the PSU universal, and I can use the one which came with my PAL 360?

You can set it to English, no problem.

Your power adapter is a problem - you'd need a bigger one for sure, at least 250W.

I don't know if the power adapter is universal, though my Singapore 360 wouldn't accept my Japanese Elite power supply - different pin config. But that could be a difference between a premium and an Elite.

Yeah, and I have a PAL Premium and getting a JP arcade, if I'm getting one at all.

Not sure if it will apply too PAL systems or not, but I believe that all of the pre jasper power supplies will work on jasper consoles. I'm using the power supply from my launch NTSC/US premium unit on a jasper NTSC/J arcade console with no issues at all. I would assume that the same would hold true for PAL units.
