Sonic and Knuckles box sucks
I remember getting this one new for my birthday present and thinking how cheap it was of Sega to make it one of their first Genesis games ever to come in CARDBOARD. So today I am rectifying this error once and for all by heading down to Kinkos and print out a custom made insert for their plastic casings, high res 300 dpi.
Anyone interested in this? 20 meg file, pdf or eps. Quarter inch bleed on all sides for cropping.
I'd be interested if I had broadband & a great printer; instead I'll just say, "nice job man!".

I'm tooting my own horn but I don't care, it looks GREAT. I took it to Kinkos and had it printed on glossy 8 point stock paper, only cost 2.60.
I also happen to have a Photoshop file ready that's 11 megs. I spent alot of time scanning seperate elements and cleaning them up.

Just scavange cases from sports games usually, you can get them cheap and in bulk from Ebay.
Might I just say it's AWESOME that you're doing this. There's a whole scene in the Neo Geo world for people making custom inserts so people with MVS carts can have their carts look like the home carts on a shelf. I always wondered why someone didn't do this for the Genny games that came in a cardboard box.
Heh, I actually cut the box and put it inside an old X-Men case the day I got the game. Not as cool as yours, but it works.
I've done that to with every cardboard case I've had. It looks great.

Hmmm, you'd have to cut up the box to scan it right? Maybe i'd be willing to give up my box if you'd make a sleeve for it.

There's no cutting involved, but I'm not interested in doing it right now.

Almost 3 years have passed, and i've lost the scans

I came across this scan of the Japanese S&K box. I'm gonna go on a Photoshop mission and either clean this up, or make a new one from scratch.
