Default Would you buy a Portable SNES?

Seriously. With all of the retro habdhelds releaseing these days, would you want one based on the SNES? What would you pay for one? I am only asking because I am pretty sure one will be popping up sooner or later and I just wanted to get everyone's feelings on this.

I already did. It's called the PSP. It's an amazing system that can play PSP games and also everything from NES to PSX(SNES isn't perfect with most games, but about 90% of them run flawless.)
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

Not quite what I had intended, but the natural progression of things being what they are. I must admit, I wouldn't mind owning one. I actually still use my carts so I really have no use for PSP or DS Emulation programs. I still want a new design on the Turbo Express though with a nice color TFT screen. That would be awesome. Still, I am glad to hear you are working on this.

Assuming they use the excellent hardware the RetroDuo did, yes.

If its from whover made the other SuperNes clone (FCTwin?), I'd have to pass thanks to things like incorrect colors in SuperFX games.

There are many good games for portable consoles today, why bother playing a game again in a tiny screen when i can enjoy them on my TV in the confort of my house ?

    I don't need a portable SNES

Well, the FC Mobile and FC Mobile II are both on the matket and are portable NES systems and they are about to release two new portable Genesis systems. One from Hyperkin and one from Innex. That's just four right there.

Both were made by the same manufacturer.

And yes, a portable SNES would be sweet. I think that a layout similar to the GBA would be pretty good. If it costs $70 or lower count me in.

Actually, I was under the impression that the FC Twin was made by Yobo and the Retro Duo is made by Retro Bit?

I would but considering I rarely play my Snes 2, it would be sometime before I actually picked one up(if it were ever made available).

There was a time when I would have, but not any more. There are too many portables that play emulated SNES games one the go just fine these days. I think it's wicked cool when people make their own one offs, but a mass market portable cartridge player? No interest, unfortunately.

I don't think I'd get one, at least not for full price. When I play games(which isn't all that often anymore, unfortunately) I like to set aside time for them and not be distracted. I didn't really take my portable systems with me to play anywhere even as a kid, I just played them mostly at home. In the car there's too many bumps to play my best, plus it's too noisy with traffic or with people around you, and just forget it with the bus as I keep checking that I don't miss my stop by watching where the bus is going. Plus I would be too worried about losing or damaging the thing so I wouldn't make use of it on the go. Plus how portable would it be these days? Just take a back pack full of huge carts wherever you go?

I still think the Nomad is cool because it's an official release from Sega made back when the Genesis was still current. Plus the loose carts fit in cassette tape carrying cases so they're easier to take along compared to SNES carts. Either way I just don't see much appeal from the current made aftermarket systems.
