Smile Best wireless controller for Nes

What do you think the best wireless controllers are for the Nes. I've seen a couple different types and am wondering which is the best. If you have some what do you think about, weight, battery life, comfort, signal strength, distance you can sit away, what type of batteries it uses. Can you do 2 players. Does the receiver need batteries? etc etc

I'm not sure about the best, but I can say from experience that I hated the Ack-Lame...uhh...Acclaim remote controller. I bought one from Gamestop when they were still selling this stuff and I was on the bed playing it, which was no more than about 8 or 9 feet away and it wouldn't register right(they advertised 30 feet). Sometimes, you had to be literally right in front of the damn thing. Needless to say, I went right back to the regular controller.

Yeah, those Acclaim controllers were ass. I had a pair that wouldn't register even when I held the controller right up to the receiver.

They went right back to Kay B's.

The Aklaim ones are the black and blue omes? What about the other ones? Anyone have them? What do you think?

id stick with wired controllers :< and the play messiah ones are ass too, not because of the receiving range but because whoever thought removing the d-pad and putting that stupid... DISK THING... or whatever the hell it is... musta been on something. I mean damn who has every used that? I could see an analog but that thing is terrible.

    Good idea

    Terrible Implementation.

In their defense, the Advantage-like wireless stick Messiah put out was pretty dang sweet. I only wish they still sold the wireless adapters for the original NES deck so I could use the stick I had.

The disc isn't that bad on the Messiah controllers. I was pissed when I first saw it, but it grew on me (kind of). All in all though, I still use the original wired controller whenever I pop in an old NES cartridge.

I gave up hope of finding a decent wireless controller for the NES. Instead I picked up an extension cable so I can sit where I like in the room.

The PS2/Xbox/GC era is when wireless controllers actually became worth the price. And not coincidentally I own a wireless for each system.

    Yes.

Remember that those things aren't even worth the plastic they are made of.

Indeed, they were quite nice, but in counter-defense. It wasn't really hard to make it something like that, especially when they had the wireless technology for the NES in place. And it was still a terrible idea to put the atrocity of a controller.

It lacks any sort of precision, and it definitely starts to wear on your fingers after long periods of time playing with it Good luck playing puzzle games

Honestly I wouldn't be so against it if they didn't already have a perfectly fine original, I mean WHY did they have to change it. Was it copyright or something, couldn't they at least have put an analog stick of sorts (like wavebird analog). I mean that seems to be like the worst possible choice to tack onto an nes controller to me. I just can't figure out why they did it I wanted awesome NES/SNES wireless (2.4ghz not IR controllers.) And they failed to deliver, and it was my only chance So really they dashed my dreams ;p

On that note does anyone want to buy a messiah wireless snes controller :P? Just 1 (but you can have the second dongle if u want, don't ask what happened to the controller.) for $10 shipped!

Sorry yoshi I no longer have the nes dongles otherwise I'd deffo let you have at em Supposedly your supposed to be able to call them and get some, but they don't answer the phone or anything.... I think the company hit a real tough spot.

Call me crazy, but I don't think the NES controller ports output enough voltage to support a 2.4GHz wireless receiver.

Oh, and RASK, you could just get an NES Satellite.
