Sonic X: Coming this fall

Fox has some teaser ads starting this week for "Sonix X." I'm assuming this will be showing in their Fox Box on Saturday mornings. Anyone know anything else about it?

I think it takes place on Earth, and the characters have human kids as sidekicks. Bleh, sounds like what they did with the last two Transformers series.
Is anyone else getting just a little sick of the influx of Japanese cartoons? Their novelty value has completely eroded thanks to the countless number of Pokemon clones currently on the air. I used to watch every anime' I could find, but these days only the really good stuff holds my attention.

I hope they don't mess up the dubbing because i have the first 2 eps subbed and i want to see what it turns out after they dub it.

They were showing this one at E3. It looks ok, but it's definitely skewed for the younger market. Since it is a Japanese show (and sega supports many of the anime series in Japan - Ever notice the Sega Saturn in Evangelion?) Sega will hopefully have enough input to keep the spirit of the Characters in the show. Anything will be better than the godawful weekday show they had about 10 years ago

I really liked the video clip they showed at E3. It looks VERY classical in terms of character design. Much better than the shite old American cartoons, at least in style.

I've seen epsiodes of the show from Japanese TV, and I can tell you that they're well-done. The animation's extremely good, and keeps with an anime style of course (I can't stand the US Sonic serieses, they're just too godawful.) There's also good music, and reasonably good plot. I'm going to keep DL'ing fansubs as they're made, but when it comes to Fox, I hope they don't mutilate it too much in the dubbing, like Funimation tends to do.

i.e. a sign in DBZ that reads "beer" has a flickering "ROOT" added above it, twitching like a chihuahua on crack .. or voice acting with lines like, "If THAT is not go-KU, then I will EAT the HAT that I am WEAR-ing."

.. and let's not forget the word "HELL" replaced with "HFIL", in hopes that we'll believe it stands for "Home for Infinite Losers". Um, yeah.

Ed thought Tenchi Muyo was the greatest thing ever.

Then one day he saw Cowboy Bebop, and Trigun.

Everything else is crap (or average crap) now, though I still like the art style of Tenchi Muyo. I'm glad I saw the light, but it means it'll be harder to go to the bad stuff now. Heh, there isn't enough time in this world for bad games, bad anime, AND work/school, is there? Gotta choose one or the other.
