Default Need pictures from Model 1 Sega CD system(of the RF shield)

    Hello,

I Have a model one Genesis and a Model one Sega CD. I have all hookups and stuff except fo the RF shield that goes between the two units. It would appear I cant use the Sega CD without the shield because it creats a ground connection between the Genesis and the Sega CD. I have also come to the conclusion that I'll have better luck just making a replacent for the shield my self.

Anyway I would really apprecieate it if someone with a Model 1 Sega CD and a digital camera would be willing to slide their Gensis off the Sega CD, remove the shield, and take some pictures of it. I'd like close up pictures of the tabs so I can see how they're shaped and one overal picture of the shield.

Also, I could really use some dimentions on it(preferably in centimeters)....
    overall width
    overall lenth
    width of tabs
    hight of tabs
distance between tabs and edges of shield

    Thanks,

While the plate will connect the ground shields together from the two units, the it is not required for an electrical ground (the main connector that joins the Genesis to the SegaCD performs the electrical ground requirements.)

Also, there are 2 RF shields in total, one large plate, and one small (about 1" x 2") that clips into the vent slots on the bottom of the Genesis.

I've operated my Genesis/CD without either in place and it works just fine.
