Default Changing Batteries in SNES carts

I know there are various videos on-line about how to do this, but I was thinking, if I soldered a bit of flex to each connector leading to a battery holder on the outside of the cart for easy changing, would that solve the need to perform surgery on my carts for life, or ruin my cart?

The former, although you'll likely need change the battery only 2 or 3 times at most in your whole life.
