Wow it's Smash Bros with Final Fantasy characters. Pass.
I'm still looking forward to FF XIII and XIV though.

After facing human players and getting really good at it, the game is extremely flawed. I'm still getting it because even being flawed it's still fun.
Anyways. HP Attacks are the only things that guard break and they're easy as hell to dodge. Unless you hit someone with a Brave Attack you might not be able to hit them with an HP Attack(there are certain brave attacks that stun an enemy a little bit, and others that combo straight into them.) Also doing nothing but HP Attacks you'll hardly take off enough damage without breaking the enemy.
So anyways. If you play against the best AI, they'll block literally every Brave Attack and there's literally no HP Attack that can hit them without stunning them first. So in order to beat the computer in the highest rank, you literally have to do absolutely nothing until they do a Brave Attack, guard the attack, and then use a Brave Attack, and if you can or want to, HP Attack into it.
This same thing can be pulled into the main game. My friend when playing always backs away, uses quick ranged attacks. The thing is, he's always waiting for a slow HP Attack or a long Brave Attack to block and counter, and it's hard to fake him out like I'm going to do something else. The only way to counter how he plays is do the exact same thing, use ranged atacks, which each character usually has atleast one, try to do alot of forward dashing to make him think I'm about to attack, etc.
The biggest flaw is that a block once used, stays up for awhile, so I've actually seen people just press block randomly thinking I'll attack. As long as you time it down you can get the block as soon as they unblock, but if they keep pressing it, you literally have 1/4 of a second in between the block before the block is up again. HP can break a block, but again, you're not sure if they'll block again.
The final thing is EX Cores, which will usually fill your EX all the way up. With those you can use it while you're getting damaged and it'll be a block. With those, I just purposefully throw any and all Brave Attacks without caring, because if the person blocks and then counters, even though stunned, I'll immediately block, counter them, and finish them off with an overpowered special(unless I'm playing as Cecil, then my special sucks balls.)
It's a really fun game, just broken. After following Tales of VS for awhile, I'm hoping that comes in the US as well. I'm sure it'll be much better since the game is a fighting game that's actually based off a fighting game style RPG. Watching all the current Tales of VS videos, there are many more attacks than Dissidia, which they pull nearly all of them straight from the game, a nice evade system pulled from the game and enhanced, and it seems that the characters are fairly balanced. Usually Tales titles don't make their way to the US, but I think this one has a high chance to get over here.
I played the demo and enjoyed it. I'll most likely pick it up, when I can afford it.
Cecil's always been my favorite character, but I'm especially excited about playing as Zidane. I LOVED Final Fantasy IX (Second only to Final Fantasy IV), and to finally see him get even a little bit of love makes me happy. Squall seems pretty good too. Looking forward to playing with Bartz as well.
Too bad it's just main characters though. I want Kain/Cain, and Locke. Hell, I want the entire casts of Final Fantasy IV and IX.
Once again though, it seems as though Square has made the game more complicated than it needs to be. They have a tendency to do this when they try something new.

Dissidia is great and deep but the Multiplayer is more fun than SP/CPU
and Unlocking skills and items is more fun

The only Final Fantasy games I am interested in are the "Main" games (Final Fantasy I - XIII)
Look at happened once IGA created Curse of Darkness also. That was a pos. Order of Ecclesia isn't really great in comparison to any other exploration which has seemed to get worse each release as well.
Just because it's a new take on the series doesn't make it bad. Dissidia is very good overall, just not without its flaws. Judgment is awful in so many ways, not just a few.
I'll be buying this when it comes out. It's been a long time since I picked up a PSP game on release day (probably Crisis Core last year).
