Default Are certain games worth more with special saves?

There's something I want to know.

My friend has a copy of Pokemon Red. Yes, just an ordinary, loose copy. However, the save on it has a legit Mew which was obtained through a Toys R Us event. It wasn't sharked or duped.

Would this be worth more than a typical copy of Pokemon? Are there any instances where any other game is worth more due to the data on it?

I'd think so. A mew probably isn't going to give your friend too much more for his Pokemon Red, but I can see how it may influence other things. As an example, someone who is selling a Dreamcast VMU with songs from Samba de Amigo downloaded via Passport is going to get a more than a person selling a regular VMU.

I'm guessing it is just going to depend on the rarity of the item. A Mew can be obtained via any cheat device for the Game Boy and may not be seen as being worth a whole lot if the person can easily get a cheat device.

If I get memory cards for Playstation I check out what games are on there. I've sold Memory cards alone for what was on there. Like a great FFVII save sold for $15

i would say in general no, but i guess in some instances if you find the right buyer maybe yes.

People do spend more for event Pokemon. However, just having one probably isn't going to up the price by a whole lot. It will help sell it, and probably get it sold for slightly more than it normally would, but otherwise, not really.

as long as you can prove that its a legit mew (having the card you got at tru during the event will help) as well as being able to confirm the data is not sharked will help tremendously, as it is rather hard to find a real mew (espeically with the batteries notorious for dying in the early pokemon games)
