No idea on the release.
It wasn't shown at E3 because of the swine flu scare.
My guess is next year? (yet another reason why next year will be the best year in video game history)

So .. im hope it comes out at all.
I think that swine flu outbreaks would actually be good for the game. More people at home playing a game where you beat up infected people?
Maybe they're waiting on releasing new info. Between the Dead Rising/Devil May Cry 4/Lost Planet greatest hits release and Tokyo Game Show, September is going to be a pretty awesome month for Capcom.
A year-long delay might mean... multiplayer?

I can't wait until DR2 comes out. I heard somewhere that its supposed to take place in a Casino (?) or something. I am hoping Capcom makes it so you can save anytime and make weapons last longer, since those were both things that bothered me in the first one.

It takes place in Vegas, and you can combine weapons (in one of the trailers they show the protagonist putting chainsaws on the handlebars of a dirt bike).
It was only announced to the public 6 months ago, it seems odd to worry it's stalled or wonder what's up with it after such a short time. Game development takes a while and it was probably in it's infancy when the project was first announced.
