Default Replacing batteries in Pokemon GB games

    Hey,

I'm looking to replace the batteries in various Pokemon GB / GBC games, and was wondering what type of battery you get and how much I should be paying for them, and where?

also, does this require soldering or can you use electrical tape to keept them in place?

    Thanks

i have no clue, i would assume its more trouble than its worth, unless of course you are the guy in the finds thread who has like 200 pokemon games, then maybe its worth it.

I have 5-10 of them around here with dead batteries, it would be nice to sell them and make $15 shipped each or so.

Easier than I thought. I found this guide:
    http://www.instructables.com/id/How-...mon-goldsilve/
though it is easier to just use a gamebit I'm sure.

And found a good deal on batteries: 100 for $11.98. Might as well buy 100 of them because buying 25 of them is like $6.

After further research, Yellow version uses a different battery than all the other pokemon games which is CR1616. I bought 30 of them for $4.27 shipped on ebay. That was the lowest price unless you need 100, and I don't think I will get 100 pokemon yellow anytime soon.
