    Default Turbografx CD compatible powersupply?

I have a Turbografx 16, and recently purchased a Turbografx with the CD add on. Is there any Power supply that will work with it (As the one i'm getting does not come with it). Or am I going to have to fork out the $60 for ones on eBay?

I might have one lying around. I'll see if I can find it. But to answer your question I'm pretty sure the model 1 Sega CD ones work with it (which aren't any easier to find).

If you have one lying around let me know!

I assume it's different than than the regular Turbografx AC adapter.

    That list is inaccurate.

The TG16 can take Genesis/SMS/Jaguar power supplies.

The TG16+CD dock uses a physically larger connector so the TG16 supply won't fit (they're all given as the same size in the above list). I had to frankenstein my own power supply together since the OEM TG16CD supplies are hard to come by.

Would the Turboduo's power supply work on the TG16+CD? Since they're pretty much the same machine.

    Not really.

    Turbo Duo
    Output: 10V DC 1A
    Conector: coaxial 6.3mm/3mm
    Polarity: center positive
    Alternative: ???

FABombjoy, which is the correct size for the TG16+CD connector? I'd like to correct my data. Thank you.

Hmmm... Guess there really isn't anything then.

I'll have no way to test the CD add-on when I get it. (I have a Duo, but I got the TG CD cheap and planned to clean it up some).

I can't confirm the size as I can't find my calipers or have another convenient method to measure, but the TG16+CD Dock power connector center pin is larger than the Genesis 1 supply. Not sure if the outer diameter is larger/smaller, but the center is definitely larger.

    Bump.

I just got a Turbo Duo. What kind of power supply should I look for? Will anything with the right Volts / Amps and positive / negative center be OK?

Unless my data is innacurate, it should be:

    Turbo Duo
    10V DC 1A
    coaxial 6.3mm/3mm
    center positive
